i have been playning for the last two days,u need a pretty extreme pc to run this game

my laptop runs NFS undercover extremely good but it slow for Gta4,so even if you buy it you will need to spend about 50K on your PC excluding HDD,Monitor and other accesories

so buying a ps3 or xbox360 will be better

my specs are

GeForce 8400 256Mb graphics card
Intel Core2duo 2.2Ghz
2GB RAM

and the game is running good,but not great playable to say the least

your pc is fine but your card seems to be the problem.Its not a gaming card...Gaming cards usually start over x600/x500gt series.

512mb Nvidia 9600
3gb ram
250 gb harddisk

mine is running so smoothly now no problems mine is 8400

^^can't say the intel graphics card are not as good as Nvidia ones,but still your other specs look good try it may be it will work

youre mostly correct but nowadays even small applications such as running vista full fleged requires a good low-budget graphics card...so nvidia introduced these x600 below series mainly for them.Yes no doubt that they can handle games,but in a very poor quality...Try comparing your card with a 7800gt ...even though its older but it will slay your card...only because its MEANT for true gaming.

I don't think dude it'll run, because I have an Intel Graphic card of 358 MB and i'm unable to play the game, It gives the FATAL ERROR : RESC 10 which means 'out of video memory' so probably i need a good graphics card but yeah sure you can give it a try though maybe it'll work and do lemme know if it works or if it doesn't.

If you compare GTA IV with San Andreas, I think both are fairly equal on their part. GTA San Andreas was fun! GTA IV is more human and realistic!

At last downloaded and installed Grand Theft Auto IV gona upload few shots as well i have heard ppl have been having lot of problems i have encountered none so far fingers crossed i wont in the future as well.

SOME SOLUTIONS

For Vista
Must have Service Pack 1 installed
Must Have netframework 3.5
Latest ATI / NVIDIA Graphic Drivers
Must install windows live and make a offline account comes with the game software.

For XP
Must have service Pack 3 Installed
Must Have netframework upto date
Latest ATI / NVIDIA Graphic Drivers
