On this weekend forget about Manhattan. I suggested bamiyan because someone wanted to stay within Manhattan otherwise my choice is Bakhrar as well.

Anyways this was suggestion. What ever you guys decide. Place and time . Let me know and I will reach there. It should be kept in mind sometime you have to play with your schedule to join this social gathering. We all have families jobs and so on.. Some time something is not of one's choice but you have to manage it...

I wanted to have a GTG. Just decide something this week , next week, next month whatever. Let me know and I Wil manage it.. OR... I will close this thread and anyone who wants a GTG should make another thread and plan accordingly. I am as busy as anyone else.. and never won a mega million lotto in last few years..

Some nice places you guys may want to consider are:

Old Forge in the Adirondacks.

Lake George just north of Albany.

Stone Arch Bridge Historical Park in the Catskills.

Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area and Worthington State Forest on I-80 NJ/PA border.

Considering the season, a weather check may be in order. For food, a nice BBQ will work just about anywhere. Just some ideas.

So Yes, as @speed_manan suggested, we might not be able to do a 16 hours drive in one day, unless we agree upon some thing within manageable ( 10 hours returns ), it might not be possible for a day meetup

It seems what's more plausible and manageable for all is to have two different GTG's for now. Once we make this a once in a while ritual and have a decent headcount we can plan something up in the north. For now, I would like to suggest we have one close to NYC and one in Toronto/Montreal. Synergies can certainly be combined in the future.
@fazalwahab11375: Count me in if we are meeting November 2nd in Queens. Total headcount: 3.

The storm front is arriving, squalls of rain and winds gusting to 50 to 60 miles an hour. Then the temperature crashes by Saturday evening and snow on Sunday. How is the weather down in the City @fazalwahab11375 ?

Yes, the storm has settled down here too. Tomorrow should be better, and then the cold front arrives during the night for light snow on Sunday. Like Punk says, winters are good too.
