Sir i guess you haven't sensed the comparison going on on this forum , we were discussing visual and cosmetic upgrades done here in Pak, u can pretty much sum up the rarity by the title of the forum
I might not know too much but I know what M is although haven't driven one but have seen too many in middle east and infact my cousin owns it there, every other car being either being hamann or others on the list and the list goes on..........................
The thing is here in PAK we only have/had a couple of m5 in total and even a 545 is rare. We have the typical 5 series with the 4-6 cylinder diesel/petrol setups , other than that a couple of 335's cuz anything including or above that had turbocharged setups from factory and the same goes for e60 chasis and the rest being hybrids. I know i wasn't comparing the output of a 545 v8 and s85 v10 . The chassis was the same, m5 had a wider track with different panel pattern and wider flared front guards with vents like merc had in AMG, quad exhausts etc. although the engine and the 7speed tranny of m5 were not based on any other model produced earlier on. Th interior seemed to have many upgrades compared to 5 series but cant recall anything other than the HUD
I never underestimated the power of M and i dont know why you got so offended by it , i know the power both cars produce but we were discussing the typical visual upgrades done here by people like changing to m wheels, m kits, upgrading the exhaust setups just to make it somewhat look like an m
It was the fastest production sedan - dont know if its status is still there but anyways i wont be going into a further debate on these german brands cuz its being off topic
