well the difference between these two cars
GTti: oil cooled turbo
GTxx: Water cooled turbo/Climate control AC/ fully powered.
apart from that there aint no difference in engine both are 1.0L DOHC TwinCAM Turbo. a stock GTti/GTxx produces 100bhp does 0-100km in 8sec.
and they aint just cruise around a stock GTti can beat $h!# outta any VTi, no VTi can beat GTti unless it is turbo charged that for sure. TRIED N TESTED

well guys am telling u one thing that this 16 years old car can beat any thing like ur 2000 model VTI and GLi for sure and any ways who is asking for 375000 for a 1300cc GTTi and where is it i really wanna know this if u wanna tell me ma cell number is 03204955559 and if u can send me the pics ...

wat r u talking. a 12 valve 3 cylinder engine(Charade GTti --GTxx) can beat a 4 cylinder 16 valve VTEC. cant be possible. charade is nothing man in front of Toyota 4A-FE 16 valve efi too.
its a road cruiser man.

it can beat stock Vti ,because:

1) good power to weight ratio

2) turbo charged engine will give it very good margin off the line.

but that should be it,

3) 0-400 it has to be the civic because of 30 more horse power

96kw (130hp) / 6,600rpm

where as GTTI only goes for 100hp

The 1300 cc car I mentioned above is navy blue in color.....its 88 model...and 93 reconditioned Quota....
Its registration number is LOR..Something.....Its not a GTti, its not Turbo....Its simple......4 Door..Charade but its 1300 cc original.....and i have never seen a 1300 cc charade ever before.........so i was quiet smitten by the car.....and the possibilites with such a car....THINK...

well, tauseef, i guess u havent raced with any GTti, my stock GTti can beat any stock VTi.they'll be head to head in first but when GTti gets into second VTi has no match, she will eat VTi easily.i did that many times.
and my GTti pushes 10psi, has an intake system, 10mm plug wires and +4 bosh platinum plugs, my baby can eat any VTi unless VTi is turbo charged.
and 1300 is a limited edition of charade.
GTti's power to weight ratio is around 123.1bhp/ton and its amazing, VTi is SOHC while GTti is DOHC.

yea u people are quiet right .. i just bought my second Gtxx and it can eat vti's for lunch and gli's for dinner !! though my gtxx is stock ,, i ll be changing alloys soon and adding body skirts and some gauges !! and yes i want some help !! as i know gtti/gtxx turbos are supposed to kick in around 3500rpm but my cars turbo kicks in around 4700RPM !! i was told by the car previous owner that he has reduced the boost of turbo to 3psi from 9psi(stock).. any help ???? and how do i get some cold air intake for my car ? vti wala kaat kai laga doon kia ???

dude! first of all get a boost gauge and watch wat ur turbo is kickin, dont look at that TURBO light as it can fool u. look at the boost gauge, dosent matters if ur turbo kicks in around 4000RPM or so, it shud push a steady 8psi(for stock car), air intake mod is easy. put the stock air filter with box out and ask any "silencer wala" to make a custom pipe of 3", go n buy an intake filter somewhere from RPM/Optimum/Saca. ur GTxx will b flying. well btw where u @?

hi all again !! man this site is cool !!! i am in peshawar !!! thanks gtti phreak for ur help !!!! like i mentioned the previous owner was some kid and he reduced the boost from 9psi(stock is 8psi ? ) to psi to get low on fuel ... is that the reason my gtxx kicks the turbo at 4500-4700 in first gear and roughly 4000rpm in 2nd and 3rd.. as my previous gtti used to kick in at 3500rpm in all gears!!! my previous gtti was with HKS exhaust , kyb air intake and blow off valves !!! do u have any desi mod for blow off valves as i miss it really!! like i was that gtxx comes with power package but i dont have climate control and sunroof and no power mirrors !!! just 4 wheel disc brakes and i am not shure whether its turbo is oil cooled or water cooled !! how do i check that !!! and yea i will be gettin my hands on a turbo gauge soon !!!! actually i wanted to turbo my honda vtec but i got my self a gtxx instead !!! and one of my mates in london own same gtxx in red touching 150BHP !!!! is that possible ? anyways i am also upgrading my 1990 nissan 300zx and reinstalling a twin turbo engine in it!!!! take care u all and u 2 gtti_phreak!! cheerz

Hey gtti freak. i have toyota starlet 1985. its 1300cc.. its quite good. but in peshawar there was a race between charade( i dont remember whether it was gtti or gtxx) and 88 corolla. the gtti was fully modified. rims and turbo and everything and 88 corolla had a 16 valve 1600cc engine and cold air intake. and it won that race. i dont know wether u will believe it or not.

hi there tauseef !!! i am not sure about the race u mentioned .. practically even 1600cc twincam gli cant beat a well tuned gtti or gtxx as stock gli goes 0-100km in 10.2 seconds and gtti/gtxx goes 0-100km in 7.7 seconds!!! even a twincam 1600cc corolla cant beat 1600cc SOHC vtec honda !!! yes turbocharged 1600cc toyota or honda can beat gtti ot gtxx but again gtti is only 3cylinder 993cc compared to 4cylinder toyota 1600 or honda 1600...

hello gtti freak .. i wanted to ask u one more thing.. my last gtti i owned had blow off valves installed but my gtxx is without blow of valves.. i wanted to know that these valves are only good for making shrilling noises while changing gears or they help to increase the psi of turbo or engine power in any sense ?

Well,Usman! BOVs,apart from making shrilling noise they reduce the turbo lag, this is a basic purpose of a BOV, i dont know any "desi tareeqa" of making a BOV, it just holds pressure for a while and makes turbo spin quickly then release that pressure, i dont think that BOV helps increasing pressure of turbo
Well if u wanna check whether ur turbo is water cooled/oil cooled then u must look for water lines (pipes flowing from radiator to ur turbo) if u see pipes! then ur turbo is watercooled otherwise Oil cooled
Touching 150bhp is easy in GTti, remove that dump pipe which is in between ur exhausht pipe and turbo with a stand free flow pipe, add a muffler, install intake if u really want to then go for a BOV too after that ur GT will b around 130bhp/125bhp. change the intercooler pipe from that rubber pipe to a heavier one, install plugs+plug wires for better current and sparks.
rather then changing ur ECU/Turbo install a valve between ur boost control solinoid and actuator to increase boost to 13 or 12.5 psi(each PSI incearse is around 8/9bhp increase in power) so that means if u increase 4psi then bhp increase will b around 30/32bhp ..... see u've achieved 150bhp mark
i've done this already
and everything custom by myself though im no automobile engineer/mechanical engineer

tauseef!i wont suggest u upgrading ur plug wires or plugs. rather then going for these things, install an intake or go for free flow exhaust so that ur engine can breath easily. plug wires/plugs will only be efficient when u have a good moded car, otherwise u wont feel any difference.
plugs/wires are easily avaliable, i bought from RPM Khi, 10mm cost u around 2k/3k but id say dont waste ur money on this buy something else.
installing an intake system will surely give u something ohh yes!!i can give u a few more suggestions
Option 1:
upgraded headers/downpipe/free flow exhaust

Option 2:
Cold air intake system or ram air intake.

going for both these option will give u around 35/40bhp increase.

thanks gtti_freak .. yea my gtxx is water cooled and i got my self a turbo boost gauge too !! my mechanic told me that late kick is due to bad exhaust system ,is that possible !?? as the exhaust warning light ia always on! he said that my exhaust system blocks the pressure which leads to late kick of turbo !!1 and yea thanks for that desi intake MOD !! i owe you one i will be gettin 15inch wheels, air intake , new exhaust and turbo gauge today!!! and i will post the pics of all my cars soon .. take care u all !!! bye for now

nice plans! but i wouldnt recommend u to go for 15"rims they wont make performance any better infact they will reduce ur power to weight ratio. but dosent matter if ur intrested in makin ur car look sexier.
bad exhaust!! hmmm.. i dont think so,instead of this i would like u to check n correct vacume pipes and look for leakage, checkout ur wastegate actuator too.
