Yesterday we had the first official pics from the Hawtai Baolige SUV and today we have the first pics of the new car all out in the open. The Baolige will debut at the Guangzhou Auto Show next week. The Huatai Baolige is based on the platform of the last-gen Hyundai Sante Fe. There will be two engines: a 1.8 turbo (160hp and 215nm) from SAIC and a 2.4 (136hp and 200nm) from Mitsubishi. Transmission: 4-speed automatic or 5-speed manual.

The new QQ3 Sport will debut early next week at the Guangzhou Auto Show. Fortunately we don’t have to wait that long because the car leaked via a big poster hanging outside the exhibition hall. The Chery QQ3 Sport is basically a facelifted old QQ3, and made to look a little sportier. Chery is also working on an all new QQ3 that will likely be positioned above the QQ3 Sport. The QQ3 Sport will be powered by 0.8 and 1.0 engines, just as the old QQ3.

The Geely EX8 SUV will finally debut at the Guangzhou Auto Show next week, the vehicle has been around for many many years as a concept car. The Emgrand EX8 is a full-size SUV, it will be listed on the China car market early next year. Size: 4840/1845/1715, wheelbase is 2800. The EX8 seats seven persons. Engine: 2.4 with 150hp and 210nm. Transmission: 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic or 7-speed dual clutch. Drivetrain: 4×4.

The new Lifan 520 will make its debut at the Guangzhou Auto Show. Power will come from Lifan’s 1.5 with 88hp and 110nm, mated to a 5-speed manual.

The new Brilliance V5 SUV will debut at the Guangzhou Auto Show. That indeed is a wait too long so here it is arriving at the exhibition hall. The bright red looks much better on the car than that brownish color we have seen so far. BMW, joint venture partner from Brilliance, thinks the V5 looks too much like their own X1 which will be made in China soon.

99% of all Chevrolet Camaro’s sold in China are yellow with black stripes, to look like Bumblebee. Chevrolet took notice and came with this Chevrolet Camaro Transformers Edition. It is made to look exactly like the movie car with a huge wing on the back, blacked out wheels and Transformers-badges all over. This is the second Transformers-edition for China from Chevrolet, the first was a rather less impressive Cruze Transformer Edition. The Camaro Transformers Edition comes with the 3.6 V6 with 293hp and 366nm, mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. Price yet unknown.

Kia is the new hot brand in 2011, thanks to their new design theme it seems the old Kia has been relegated to a thing of the past, the Kia K2 is ready to take on the Chinese market and the world market at the Guangzhou Auto Show where it will have its world premiere, highlighting the importance of the Chinese market for Kia. The K2 will be packing 1.4L and 1.6L engines, pricing is expected to be from 70,000-120,000rmb when launched. The K2 looks rather smart in its sports style.

The new Chery QQ3 Sport will debut tomorrow at the Guangzhou Auto Show. It is already in the exhibition hall and fortunately Chery didn’t bother to hide it, at all. The Chery QQ3 Sport is basically a facelifted old QQ3, and made to look a little sportier and cross-overish. Chery is also working on an all new QQ3 that will likely be positioned above the QQ3 Sport. The QQ3 Sport will be powered by 0.8 and 1.0 engines, just as the old QQ3.

The new Dongfeng-Fengshen A60 will debut tomorrow at the Guangzhou Auto Show. The A60 is the biggest car in the Fengshen range. The A60 is based on the Nissan Sylphy from the Dongfeng Nissan joint venture.

The Guangzhou Auto Chichuan GS5 will debut tomorrow at the Guangzhou Auto Show.. The Chichuan GS5 was formerly known as the X-Power and more recently as the X20. Power will come from a 2.0 with 150hp and 183nm, mated to a 5-speed manual or 5-speed automatic. At a later date, a 1.8 turbo and a 2.4 will be available as well. The new Chichuan GS5 is based on the same platform as The Guangzhou Auto Trumpchi which is based on the old Alfa Romeo 166. Although not as striking as the X-Power concept car the GS5 is still a fine looking vehicle and so is the Trumpchi sedan. Makes one curious about the future for Guangzhou Auto. The Alfa platform can easily underpin an MPV, a wagon or something sporty.

The new FAW Oulang will debut at the Guangzhou Auto Show. It was born as FAW Besturn B30, that went through a redesign inspired by the FAW Go concept car, then came back as FAW-Oulai. FAW was by that moment planning to make Oulai a new entry-level sub-brand. That plan now seems gone. Name changed again, Oulai became Oulang and the new car was simply placed under the FAW brand. So here it is, the FAW Oulang, the vehicle’s English name is Oley.

The Oley is based on a FAW-Volkswagen Jetta PQ32 platform, the Jetta is still in production in China by the FAW-VW joint venture. Earlier reports indicated that the Oley would get a VW 1.6 engine but the latest news is that FAW’s own 1.5 will be under the bonnet, good for 80kw and mated to a 5-speed manual or 5-speed automatic.

Shouwang is the name of the new sub-brand from the Beijing-Hyundai joint venture. They will make cheap and green cars. This BHCD-1 is the first concept car from Shouwang, based on old Hyundai Elantra. The BHCD-1 concept is a hybrid & will officially debut tomorrow at the Guangzhou Auto Show.
