But all four leaked and as soon as I shifted to Leppon there hasnt been any leakage. Uptill now I have installed more than 30 Leppon filters in my present/previous cars that are City, Reborn, Swift, Alto and never faced a leakage issue. While using guard this leakage also occurred in my City Idsi aswell which was again resolved by Leppon.

All four must be 2# as i am also using them in 4 cars: 3 gli and 1 mira jee. Earlier also used for city, alto and vitz.

It has never happened never ever. If it is a manufacturing fault of guard filters then you should have seen oil all over in parking lots and garages because over 90% of Pakistan is using this filter. And if every filter dripped then my mother must had thrown me out of home.

Bhai jee OEM japan wala nahi. Thailand wala 400 ka hai. Oh sorry guard shayed 190 ka hee hai laikin thai 400 aur japan 1200 ka.

using guard since ever and never had any problems, and btw founder of guard is an old friend of my dad, they both started their own brand of brake oil way back, although our brake oil was of better quality(it was sold by the name of avone and if anyone is concerned)....

i bought shell helix hx7-e + guard 151 filter from metro
piece of mind

My concern is that we leave our used filter at oil shops, may be some people collect those filters, clean and polish them and repack them , is it possible ?

i used toyota petron in altis since the first day upto 175k

now i first time poured shell helix hx7 semi synthetic oil that is 5w30
the car feels a bit light and quiet in driving, but all i'm concerned about is that now i hear clicking noise from engine while idling, is it because of using a thinner oil ?

and may i switch to shell helix ultra fully synthetic at next oil change ?

the engine normally will emit a sort of clicking sound, its the injectors working. in high mileage engines the VVTi variator starts to click - nothing to worry about. Its normal. Only when you start to hear a foundry is when you should be alarmed.

This engine does not require full synthetic oil. It will be no harm using it but it will be pricey for you.

We have been using Guard filters in all our cars since the early nineties. I remember I was in school n asked my late dad why we were switching to Guard and he told me the owner of Guard was his friend and had told him they were using high quality imported filteration media and high manufacturing standards.

Always used Guard since then but have been careful where I buy from.

In all those years, only one oil filter on a 2c diesel failed because the installer messed up. Most installers do not apply a thin layer of oil on the seal or don't tighten properly. You have to supervise these things.

@hash4u I have been using 50/50 Guard oil and air filters and original Toyota filters bought from Metro, Caltex F-6 and 3S respectively without any issues and the car has clocked 119,000.

Now I use Toyota oil filter purchased from Hamza Younas autos Saddar for 450 (same is sold for 11-12 hundreds by 3S ), Guard air cleaner and I change them every 5,000 kms.

Guard too worked good till 5K

In our dusty environment it is not advisable to use any best of the best oil filter beyond 5k kms.

My friend's office has five Corollas and he has seen them running all across Pakistan for more than 200,000 kms with Guard oil filters and the cheapest (I guess red) Shell oil.

Leppon I used only once, did not feel any difference except price.

Change ur oil change place
We had issues with santro with filter installment took it to expert tight it all and no leak

^ I did open a Leepon Oil Filter and the quality was awful. Guard Filter on the other hand has very good quality. Feel free to search my topic and look for yourself.

sir perhaps you bought the fake one which are v. common these days.

and as far as I know, even their site listed the internals which match what was in the filter I opened. The so called Company also does not have any address listed for its manufacturing or office "abroad".

Anyway, feel free to get an original LePPON and save its name by doing a tear down.
