Correct But I still think iOS UI is better in terms of colour, unless you copy it completely.. I moved to iOS to exploit the capability of BLE (iBeacon). Android on the other hand have not let the developers use this feature

if your tv is wifi connected smart tv like Samsung, or google TV. you can play it over the air, mostly youtube. its like DLNA.. I can play any video wirelessley from my computer to TV as well.
Other option is to get a cheap chromecast Amazon.com: Google Chromecast HDMI Streaming Media Player: Electronics

Still no kitkat here in US. It's pushed to in few countries. They will send an update in US or UK (bigger sales) until they are sure in the countries where it's on test..
