Has anyone gotten fuel filter replaced on civic vti 2005-06 (eagle eye) - help needed

Guys

I want to know if anyone has gotten fuel filter changed on civic vti 2005-06 (eagle eye shape). there is some confusion as to where this part needs replacement at 40,000km or not.

I got mine replaced at 75000km but the people at 3s told me that it could have gone till 90k km... i was told that you have to get it changed at 50k km atleast.

as for you if your facing any issues like sluggishness, and missing or something then get it replaced otherwise dont bother.

@shehroze121...thanks for your help..i went to Honda dealership today to check..they said there are 2 parts, one is filter (just a cardboard/filament for Rs. 1800) and the other is strainer (a concealed unit for Rs. 6000). both located inside fuel tank desides the fuel pump. do u have any idea which one u got replaced?

Both of them my total bill was 11300 rs

@shehroze121...thanks so much for the clarification..did u feel any difference in pick or overall drive of the car? were u facing any such issues before changing the fuel filter?

Strainer connects with the fuel pump. When the fuel is picked up from the tank it goes through the strainer first. If you don't want to replace it you can clean it up. I dont think it should make alot of difference but getting it cleaned may increase your fuel pump's service life.

Its just like a sock...

in honda maintenance book they said you have to repalce fuel filter after 40,000kms..

110k kms done ...still running my original fuel filter dont change it till 100k kms (My advice)

change it when u feel missing at high rpms ...

and when ur going to change fuel filter also change engine oil air filter cleanup ur throttle body and change ur plugs too

My exi still roars like new !
