Went to murree today and saw quite a few h6 facelift for the first time on road, the car looks really good in real from back and new front in black was looking beautiful as well , kinda looked bigger from the back

I went to the dealership a couple of days ago to check it out. Told them I'm considering replacing mine and the sales person said, "Why? you have the better one already"

Suggested to wait until next year and get a PHEV like I originally wanted, if GWM launches one by then that is.

Any tyre suggestions to improve following

1) Better initial wheel spin management
2) Better tyre traction reducing car traction system engagement
3) Improved suspension feel over potholes and breakers?
4) Better cornering capabilities

In addition, opinions on using 32/33 PSI instead of 35 PSI to improve some of the above?

Pressure should be as per manufacturer’s recommendations. 1-2 psi down will slightly improve comfort though.
The stock tires have very good international test ratings for grip and overall comfort, but for further improvement you can look for Continental PC6 or 7 if you can find them. They will be really expensive and I’m not sure if the price difference will be worth it.
If you just want some noise and comfort improvement, you can try Yokohama Advan dB V553’s. Not so expensive as Contis but still significant improvement in these parameters. They are not meant for rough terrain so if you drive on good roads mostly, then no issues.

This is a recipe of disaster. Usually the tire bursts at motorway speeds when the tire pressure is less than company recommendation. This is exact opposite to what majority thinks in Pakistan.

1-2 psi less than recommended on highway is not a problem because once on highway, tyres warm up quickly and increase the pressure by 3-4 psi after a few KM.

Is it just me, or does your H6 automatically turn the air circulation off? It happens almost every time I drive

Sirjee, my son drives a Haval Jolion. I have travelled many kilometers in and driven it myself on occasions. The ac is pretty good, The recirculation stays where it is selected. However the programmed logic of our Proton X70 is different. When set on auto, based on the outside temperature, the recirculation turns on or off as per the logic.

Recirculation does change automatically on my H6 as well if I set it on auto (which is almost always). I sometimes smell outside odors in the cabin only to find out that it had auto-switched to external circulation.

This mostly happens if you have the AC set to a temp that might cause fogging so the overly aggressive auto-defogger algorithm switches to external circulation.

Not with 1-2 psi. I have regularly travelled on the highways and motorways for 14-15 hours with only short fuel/restroom stops in between. Tire temps can go greater than 50’ on hot summer days and pressures rise up to 37/38 psi on the tpms with a cold starting pressure of 33/34 psi. If I keep it at 35 to start my journey with, I end up with slightly higher pressures, maybe 38/39, which is also perfectly fine.
Although I do agree it is better to stick to manufacturer guidelines, since pressures eventually go down over time and if one is already lower and not monitoring, it could cause potential problems.

That makes sense. It is not a fault but the system is doing what it is programmed to do. Annoying though it might be, it does not necessarily agree with what we want it to do in our climate. On the other hand the Chery system recirc button is independent of the outside temp in auto mode. The only time it works with auto mode is when the car is stared remotely to cool it before one gets into the car. I use the remote cooling feature all the time. There is another feature in the Chery that cycles the ac blower even after the car has been turned off to clean out the evaporator coil. Pretty neat.

If i am allowed to share my experience about wheel spin. I don't own a Haval. I own a Chery Tiggo 8 Pro. The car suffered from most annoying wheel spin issue. Especially on a uphill section of road like going uphill out of my underground parking. I replaced the original Cooper tires with Continentals then Goodyear Eagles all had unacceptable amount of wheel spin. Finally I put Yokohamas. All this did not come cheap. I am amazed at how good the Yokohama tires turned out to be. Silent, best grip and very minimal wheel spin. May I suggest, if you decide to get Yokohama, to carry out your purchase from Tire Point based in Lahore and they will deliver right at your door step.

Playing around with tire pressure doesn't help.

Can someone let me know how to switch from apple CarPlay to ac controls? As everytime I want to change AC setting I have to press AC button to enter the menu. Any other way of accessing AC menu while using CarPlay?

Yes. The other way is Tap on CarPlay homescreen button > Tap on Haval button > tap on AC UI on Haval homescreen

You can use voice control as well. Press the Voice Command button (or invoke it by saying "Hi GWM") and then say something like "Go to AC Settings" or "Open AC Settings" and it would land you on the AC settings screen.

A lot less hassle (and safer) then turning it Off and On via the button or 2-3 taps it requires on CarPlay or Android Auto.

Facelift Haval H6 owners, has the new column shifter caused any usability issues so far? Does it create any issue while driving? Also, now that the high beam can only be controlled through the screen, how practical is it while driving at night?

Haval H6 2.0 is 4WD. Anyone please explain is it same AWD or has some difference. It is sure, it is not 4×4 as there is no separate gear shifter.
