Although this kind of feedback is highly subjective but I think Tan brown is the best choice from current options.

Black looks claustrophobic at times and feels less spacious (compared to other two), specially if you already have another car with black interior. Also depends on the city and environment as well. Black interior will absorb more heat similar to how black coloured cars absorb more heat. So depends a lot on which city you are living and the environment.

White while it looks good in pictures, will be extremely difficult to maintain and keep clean specially in dusty cities like Lahore. Oshan X7 also initially came with white interior and it was one of the reasons people avoided it. Had it been successful they would not have changed from white to brown in X7 facelift.

Folks, I am being told there's a delay at the port (Customs' data loss and so on) so the final delivery time will be closer to 3 months than the 2 that I was promised at the time of booking. Anyone else heard anything?

I called asking about the PHEV, (no booking made) and I was quoted 2-3 months anyways. Should probably take at least 3 months. If you're talking about delays on other variants I do not think it would be affected

Hi All,

I am deciding to buy a new car. I am deciding between 2 cars, Sportage L HEV or H6 2.0T.

With new facelift H6 2.0T paddle shifters were removed, have you faced any issues controlling gears in uphill climbs or downhill engine breaking.

And drive wise (handling & road grip) which car is better among the 2 above. Please give advise if you've driven both.

The reason I am shortlisting 2.0T instead of HEV of H6 is because I think HEVs performance depends on battery level like on paper it is better but would it always be able put its power down unlike ICE car you full engine power all the time. Would like to know from H6 HEV owner.

With Sportage, that's the only variant with most features hence shortlisted the HEV.

In normal city day to day driving HEV is alot better , the electric motor gives instant torque until the motor catches up , so if you want to overtake something you get an instant surge of power

I've driven hybrids for a long time and I've never been left wanting for power. Even a low battery is able to give some amount of instant torque for however small duration that helps in overtaking vs. a pure ICE engine that needs to rev up to provide any additional power.

You should be considering the H6 HEV vs. the Sportage HEV, and as far as this choice goes, the H6 is the significantly better value for money even if it's slightly more expensive and has significantly more market acceptability and trust in the brand compared to Sportage and Kia-Lucky.

Go with Tuscon HEV AWD. I just cannot fathom spending this much money on a crossover and not having all wheel drive. You WILL feel the difference even in every day driving when you floor it.

I think there is a big arguement to be made over HEV vs 2.0. The main difference should them from what you want out of the car. If comfort is what you're seeking the HEV would make more sense but in terms of performance you would really want the AWD system to take advantage of all the power. For most people they would be happy enough with the HEV.

You don't have to worry about that. The battery should technically keep a small amount of charge at all times for your performance needs.

Otherwise the Sportage will have a much more bouncy and soft suspension, if I remember correctly I saw you post extensively about the Peugeot 2008 which feels much more like the Haval suspension wise than the Sportage if that puts things into perspective

Then at that point, the H6 PHEV should also enter into consideration being a much more sophisticated (dual motor) AWD with a significantly more powerful drivetrain while still being better equipped.

But it's price tag takes it into similar territory as we the Santa Fe base variant, and you can go on like this.

Personally, I've never felt the H6 HEV lacking for power in normal city driving within Lahore because your driving on mostly flat, paved roads so traction is typically good (unless you floor it from a stop-light). So this comes down to how often are you city driving vs. highway driving where the AWD is much more useful.

But at that point, is the Hyundai Htrac system the right answer vs. something that can do proper FWD, RWD or AWD like the GWM Hi-4 system because of it's two powerful motors alongside the engine?

I am deciding between Haval H6 1.5T and MG HS PHEV.
How do both cars compare in terms of resale value and after-sales service (parts availability, service costs, dealer support)?
Also—any known issues or common problems with each model that I should be aware of?

Would love to hear from owners of either car.

I would say go for Haval H6 1.5T. Its more common - new facelift model looks exactly like H6 HEV. In terms of fuel economy, unless you have solar installed, i think Haval H6 1.5T will give you much better mileage compared to MG HS PHEV.

resale will also be better for H6 due to more acceptability. I owned MG ZS. After sale was fine during my ownership.

I would generally recommend the H6. The HS PHEV has more power but the hybrid system is showing weak regen (putting charge back into the battery from driving), which means unless you only drive small distances per day (less than 70), only then can you really expect any kind of fuel efficiency gains. If you need to travel on the motorway often then clearly the H6 would be the better vehicle to get. Haval also has better resale and better after sales services. The added benefit is that the H6 is quite roomy inside.

I have 1.5T Petrol and the tyre skid noise is coming up often especially when pushed while going up. I dont floor it at all, even with a slightly hard push. Checked the air pressure and it was high initially as i guess due to delivery they pushed it upto 40. But issue remained even afterwards. If i drive like a grandpa, i dont get it. I expected these tyres to be good, so any solution for this? and are people facing this issue?

My MG HS tends to skid quite a bit in Islamabad when driven aggressively on slopes in the DHA 2 area, despite the fact that they are Michellins. The suspension between the two feel quite similar which is making me think that it is that rather than the tyres

I'm hearing a "clunk" sound when I first hop in to the car, then as family members hop in there is no further clunking. Next day, when I first hop in, there's a clunk again.

I've H6 HEV Facelift 2500KM driven.

Any leads on what's causing this? I'm assuming something to do with suspension? Are such issues common in other units also?

I'm feeling the car doesn't have the "finesse" which can be felt in various driving dynamics also..

Is that sound just when you start to move forward or backwards?

Because I get that clunk mostly when moving after a long time (a couple of days which is typical for me) in wet weather. My C-HR also had that so I'm kind of used to it.

It's more like the Hill-start and Climb Assist isn't as refined in the H6 that might also mess with power delivery. If you slow down or brake on an relatively steep incline like a parking ramp, you'll notice the car roll slightly backwards before moving forward again.

I think the H6 PHEV will kill whatever sales there were for Santa Fe.
