I have 1.5T Petrol and the tyre skid noise is coming up often especially when pushed while going up. I dont floor it at all, even with a slightly hard push. Checked the air pressure and it was high initially as i guess due to delivery they pushed it upto 40. But issue remained even afterwards. If i drive like a grandpa, i dont get it. I expected these tyres to be good, so any solution for this? and are people facing this issue?

My MG HS tends to skid quite a bit in Islamabad when driven aggressively on slopes in the DHA 2 area, despite the fact that they are Michellins. The suspension between the two feel quite similar which is making me think that it is that rather than the tyres

I'm hearing a "clunk" sound when I first hop in to the car, then as family members hop in there is no further clunking. Next day, when I first hop in, there's a clunk again.

I've H6 HEV Facelift 2500KM driven.

Any leads on what's causing this? I'm assuming something to do with suspension? Are such issues common in other units also?

I'm feeling the car doesn't have the "finesse" which can be felt in various driving dynamics also..

Is that sound just when you start to move forward or backwards?

Because I get that clunk mostly when moving after a long time (a couple of days which is typical for me) in wet weather. My C-HR also had that so I'm kind of used to it.

It's more like the Hill-start and Climb Assist isn't as refined in the H6 that might also mess with power delivery. If you slow down or brake on an relatively steep incline like a parking ramp, you'll notice the car roll slightly backwards before moving forward again.

Thats a fair evaluation! Is the hill start automatic on the H6? I'm used to having to enable it manually in the HS for it to actually do that, which is why I haven't even considered this being a factor in the skidding and during the testing mine was turned off.

Considering you still have a population that is very anti chinese cars (although now much greatly reduced) I think the Santa Fe still has its position as a 7 seater with a much softer suspension for people that care. I'd still ultimately consider the PHEV the better buy though

Santa Fe already was a very niche vehicle in the market and I expect it to continue occupying that niche segment - someone who wants a (faux) 7-seater hybrid. This leaves the Santa Fe as the most affordable option in this category.

You have much cheaper 7-seater options but they're gasoline - BR-V, Oshan X7 and Jetour X70 Plus. Sorento is on the other end, being a lot more expensive.

Personally, I wouldn't get any of these because the 3rd row isn't practical at all. 3rd row seats only start to become somewhat viable once you're over 5000mm in length or at least 3000mm wheelbase.

Honestly, I hadn't considered that. I'll have to check the manual.

You need to enable Hill Descent Control manually but I assumed Hill-start Assist is automatic because there isn't a button for that and that's also how it worked in my previous cars.

Edit: Here's what I found in an older manual.

So it seems like it's always active. I hadn't considered the slope gradient before so it might make sense when I notice it coming out of the last ramp of my office parking because it is very steep and might be more than 30%.

Nobody cares about 7 seats in Pakistan. People buy these cars because they are 'big'.

People in the market for a 7 seater would not consider a 5 seater even if it has all the latest tech.

Unfortunately not many decent 7 seater options. Oshan x7 is there which lacks 3rd row AC and Apple CarPlay or Android auto. Old school head unit unlike the HAVALs (which have better tech).

Then we have Santa Fe hybrid which lacks even basic features like adaptive cruise. Just that it’s hybrid. Only dumb cruise control.

Sorento hybrid, don’t even talk about it. If someone got money to throw around randomly then yeah 1.6 crore price lol.

7 seats offer a lot more flexibility but yeah most sales are for 5 seaters. Probably because we don’t have good 7 seater options in 10mil-12 mil bracket (a hybrid and having good features like a Haval).

That doesn't happen in Pakistan. Sales for 7 seater pre-facelift Oshan were almost 0 even though it was a cheaper variant with slightly less features. Sorento was a market failure as well even though it's a proper 7 seater which can seat adults in the third row.

Sazgar Engineering Works Limited has announced plans to roll out its upcoming Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) models, TANK-500 and CANNON, by March 31, 2026, as part of its continued push into the New Energy Vehicle (NEV) segment.

“The company has successfully launched its first CKD [Completely Knocked Down] PHEV HAVAL H6 1.5L on August 16, 2025. In addition, CKD rollouts of TANK-500 and CANNON PHEVs are planned by March 31, 2026,” it said.

I'm willing to bet it would be sooner than that. Basically what they're saying is that they would launch by end of Q3 FY26, which can mean any point from now until that March 31, 2026 date.

Sazgar have also almost always been ahead of the timelines they've given.

The real interesting question would be how would they price the Tank 500? The current CBU model is about PKR 45 million and it carries massive duties. But it's also not a top of the line variant, which is something Sazgar tends to do for CKD units.

Tank 500 has also had 3 variants in it's PHEV drivetrain as well. There's the regular Hi4, Hi4-T which is better for off-roading, and Hi4-Z which is better for range and performance. And it also just received a facelift in China in August, adding a Lidar unit for the upgraded Coffee Pilot System typically only reserved for the WEY branded vehicles. I don't expect the Lidar to come to international markets though because Chinese manufacturers have mostly stripped that for international models.
