Curious to know as well. What kind of issue did it develop, and after what milage? I remember Civic X could start having the issue in under 10k km as well.

I asked the dealership about delivery they said I am in the January allocation so the car can come anytime in January so hoping for it to arrive soon.

I visited the dealership today and it's the steering column that's inside the car, not the rack that's outside underneath the engine. Multiple people have claimed to have had their steering racks replaced though as per the Haval owner's WhatsApp group. The dealership I went to has replaced 2 racks themselves.

I had been noticing this issue for a long time, only decided to get it checked now. It's a sound that comes when you turn the steering fully quickly or when you shake it by 10-20 degrees in both directions very quickly.

I'm glad it's not the entire column that needs replacement because I've done that already on my Civic, and a defective column impacts the steering feel of the car. Fortunately that's not the case with my H6. It's just an annoying sound, like something isn't bolted together tight enough. Still disappointing though since the car is only driven 9500km.

Good to know it's not something serious then. I've heard a lot of nightmares from people regarding the Civic X, though it is still concerning that multiple people have reported issues with the H6's rack as well.

Once you take delivery, can you please share what is the model year mentioned on your invoice and what model character is in your VIN number?

It should be the 10th character in your VIN / chasis number and would either be an R or an S.

e.g. your VIN would be something like NF9EFUA5xRxxxxxxx or NF9EFUA5xSxxxxxxx

Well it is quite cheap than it's Japanese and Korean competitors.

There are two reasons Chinese brands sell in Australia

1. Price
2. Availability

Aussie Preference in SUVs in the Cross, but the wait time can be as much as a year depending on the configuration.

The cross can cost a lot more than a haval.

I cant say for UK, the only other place i know in the English speaking world where RHDs are sold but in Australia, if Cross was as readily available as Haval or MG, these brands would likely not sell well

Also Older Haval Utes were notorious for rusting.

With the Australian govt. veering away from China, and with Trump as president it remains to be seen the future of these vehicles in Australia.

PS:

Lookup car expert on YT as well as the web. IMO its is better than most from Australia. For UK Mat Watson (carwow). Not as in-depth as car expert, but very humorous.

They designate the model year. R is 2024, S is 2025 model year.

Took delivery on Friday so far so good yet to receive in voice came with voice commad as standard

My 1.5 has arrived at the showroom but I haven't taken delivery since the invoice has not been issued yet. The guys there at least shared the VIN number and it has S as its 10th character.

Only regret is not being able to get the grey color.

Will be taking delivery on Friday IA after ceramic and undercoating is done.

How long does it take for the number plates to arrive after the payment?

My H6 1.5T arrived at the Showroom in Karachi a week ago or so, and they did PPF on it as well. However, I have not been able to take the delivery because of the delay in issuance of the invoice. According to the dealer once the invoice arrives it should take no more than 2 or 3 of days to have the vehicle ensured and registered. Of course, if the weekend falls in between then these 2 or 3 days would be prolonged.

Can't express how frustrating this is.

Already I am disappointed at not getting the gray color. The silver grill on black 1.5T and 2.0T just doesn't look that classy but blends in very well with the gray. Of course, it is still no match for the HEV grill. I had the option of having the grill blackened during the PPF but withdrew at the last minute.

I saw a Black 1.5 with Black grill and only tyhe haval logo was in chrome , that thing was Looking really awesome, wanted to swap my white HEV with it
