H6 is getting a facelift soon. Front end will be similar to H6 GT. 2.0l engine now more powerful with 175kW output instead of 150kW. (Also notice the refreshed "H A V A L" logo at the rear)

Did my first trip from Karachi to Lahore on the H6. In comparison to the Sportage on which I did this 4 times, it was better in many ways.
The luggage space was more so our stuff didn't need to be put in the cabin (my family takes a lot of stuff on these trips). The cabin space was also a bit more as well so the kids felt more comfortable and less tired during the trip. It took us the same time as earlier since I always drive with the limit at around 110-120 depending on the traffic situation.
The fuel consumption was also slightly better than the Sportage, at around around 11.5 - 12 kmpl. Btw despite my relaxed driving and within limit speeds, I somehow never got better average on my Sportage AWD either (over whole trip), even though some people do share much better averages on other motorway segments.
As the only driver, I also felt less tired vs the Sportage, and I must say the adaptive cruise and lane keep assist had a lot to do with this. It specially became helpful on the Multan to Lahore segment since we had more traffic vs the rest of the trip.

How about suspension? Soft or stiff?

I would say the ride felt a bit softer than Sportage, tires played a role too.
Thankfully handling wasn’t much different, no excessive body role or instability over bumps.

you know i saw so many Haval H6s in Riyadh where people are accustomed to full size SUVs. so its kinda doing good. same for australia

Also share maintenance cost I have heard it is very high

No paid maintenance until now. First oil change this month Inshallah. 3850 km done but almost six months since delivery so better change. 1000 inspection was done in March and they told me to get oil change done at 5000 or in May.

Are you using hi octane or mix?

Mainly Hi Octane for now. Only mixed half a tank once in the 4000 km I have done.

Does the infotainment system lag on Apple CarPlay or on normal use? Kindly share your valuable experience!

No lag on the infotainment system. With or without Apple CarPlay. The system is very responsive.

I am really interested in getting the HEV variant, but I am very skeptical about the brand.
I know that GWM has billions invested in their R&D, and they are proving to be a big success in their home market as well as some foreign markets, but something really tells me to stay away from all Chinese automotive brands.

What do you think about the car as a whole? Has Haval exceeded your expectations?

I was skeptical when I was considering this and the MG over the Sportage I had, but eventually had to take that leap of faith. My biggest concern was the support network and after sales, which has yet to prove itself as it takes some time for such factors to establish themselves. Time will tell whether they will come up to my expectations.
As far as the vehicle goes, it has certainly exceeded my expectations in many areas. Good quality overall when compared to the Sportage and many useful features which were missing there. Also a decent space upgrade.
If you are one of the first movers, it is for you. If you are conservative and play it safe, then maybe get something reliable for now and see how this turns out in a couple of years.

Haval cars are excellent

Just its support network in Pak appears to be really bad.

So you have to weigh the pros n cons n decide. As person above said if you’re a first mover or in my opinion adventurous go for it.

haval vehicles are very good quality, i work in oil & gas industries and we use haval pickup's here and they're very good.
also i lived in china for some years, it's their top brand there too.
visited KSA recently, you rarely see LC there, haval is selling quite well there too

Actually I banked on these international reviews and feedback on quality, to counter the expected average local support, specially in the beginning.

Yes i have some family in ksa and they were telling me how haval is really making a mark on roads now.
Hope sazgar improves customer relation and network of the haval brand in upcoming years.
