Disclaimer: This post is not meant to portray the vehicle in a negative light; just sharing honest first impressions.

I recently visited the Automotive Technologies, Karachi dealership to check out the H6 1.5T and wanted to share a few key takeaways:

Positives:

The car is packed with features—540° camera view, radars, a massive infotainment screen, and more.

Test drove the vehicle: the power delivery is decent for a 1.5T engine.

The DCT gearbox does its job, though gear transitions at low speeds feel a bit jerky—which is somewhat expected from dry clutch DCTs.

Some Observations:

1. Steering Angle: I found the steering wheel positioned at a rather steep angle—almost truck-like. It felt unusually upright, which may not be to everyone's liking.

2. Front Seat Base: Quite short seat base. At 5'8", even I felt a lack of thigh support. I imagine taller drivers or passengers might find this quite uncomfortable, especially on longer drives. Any takes?

3. Rear Seat Comfort: The rear seats don’t recline, which could be a drawback for those who prioritize comfort on road trips. Although thigh support is pretty good at the back.

Agree on the three points based on my experience with the HEV. However the Facelift was supposed to have more comfortable seats. I've gotten used to the steering though and doesn't give me an issue switching between H6 and other cars I typically drive.

BTW all H6 models have a wet clutch DCT.

Visited the showroom and yes you are right about the front seats. As for the rear seats, I found them comfortable and the room was quite open. Steering wheel didn't bother me. Booked the 1.5T variant today Alhamdulillah as for me no other car comes even close to Haval in 9.5M.

Oh okay. Yeah you'd have to probably go around all the dealerships in town to see if someone has that color in stock. I've only ever seen it on the road once so I don't think they produce it at all. As far as I know, they paint shop has to switch to produce cars in a specific color so I doubt they make many in that color unless there are a bunch of orders lined up.

That's still no excuse for not having metal panels as color palettes like most other brand dealerships have.

Edit: Btw I think I've heard someone from Sazgar mention at some point that the Nordic White interior and Burgundy exterior aren't available in the initial batches anyways since they likely haven't seen enough demand for it.

Nordic white interior will be available from September.(i.e if booked now ,car will be delivered by sep) Confirmed from Khi automotive technologies dealership. I asked him about it since I wanted to book in this interior color.

Btw does anyone else find it odd that Sazgar and GWM's marketing is also promoting 540º camera as a new feature? I still haven't gotten hands on with the Facelift but the demos I've seen so far online don't seem to suggest there's anything new apart from a new Surround View interface?

I am still willing to take a bet on the H6, but I have some reservations.. I frequently undertake longer journeys, and I’m concerned that the front seats may become uncomfortable over time due to the lack of thigh and lumbar support adjustments. Additionally , what is the general maintenance schedule for the H6. Are dealerships known to charge excessively for servicing, or are the rates reasonable? I also hope the maintenance intervals are practical and not overly frequent (e.g., oil changes every 3 months or 5,000 km).

Intervals are 6 months or 5,000* km. Pricing is not too absurd but still slightly towards the higher side for at least the service chargers. Depending on your city, you might not even have that much of a choice for Dealership either.

*Technically the only thing that actually needs replacing every 5,000 km is the engine oil and filter and I've heard that they actually do inspect that before changing so if you're been using clean RON 95 fuel, you might not need that.

Haval servicing is definitely on the higher side especially 10,000km and onwards

1. There is little to no under thigh support which does get uncomfortable. Add this to the fact that the front of the seat can't be raised up (at-least in the pre FL), it adds to the misery

2. I was told by Haval Experience its 5K or 6 months from the date of last service. I personally don't think the service rates are high; the displayed rates parallel those of Honda IIRC

The car becomes transparent and you can see what is under the car like a cat or something. The car needs to drive a bit to start showing this. This is also touted as a 540 feature by other manufacturers as well. So not only does one see 360 around but the 180 at the bottom as well. Once they are able to show whats flying above the vehicle (like a rafale :D) they'll call it 720

In Pre-facelift they were giving Kumho Tyres annd offering Hankook in the facelift. Is their any difference in their performance?

Visited the showroom and checked both Hyundai Tucson and haval h6 facelift
Here is my take on some obvious cons in h6.

1. No lumbar support in haval vs present in tucson
2. Day and night difference in sound quality of the speakers (I checked the 1.5T Version which sounded completely underwhelming vs Tucson)
3. Tucson's blind spot visibility on the screen when the turn signal is operated is definitely something amazing which h6 lacks.
4. H6 seats don't recline at the back while Tucson does
5. Driver seat thigh support / angle is a bit weird.
