Hey folks, long time reader, first time poster. I've been looking at one of these for a good while now but I am not sure which one I should pull the trigger on. For someone who will be using it sparingly (which is why the HEV is out), is the 2.0T enough of an upgrade over the base variant to justify paying the 1.7M price difference? Has anyone had a chance to drive both? What's the consensus on this?

Pretty new to cars so I am not sure where to draw the VFM line.

2.0 AWD is a 'shokeen bandon' ki gari. The price difference isn't justified unless you really want AWD and that extra power (the power difference is a lot though).

its 1.5 turbo AWD with 360hp and 760Nm torque. 0-100 in 4.8 seconds with different steering and mobile app with over 40 controls

This is honestly very good pricing for the PHEV and is THE variant which I originally wanted. I'd say it's the best value for money model now.

Now I'm very tempted to sell mine and get the PHEV instead because it seems like it might even have Coffee OS as well. At least all other markets with GWM App integration have Coffee OS running.

This is a really good setup. Supports fast charging, good power figure, AWD with high torque is also the right configuration. Gonna get this replacing Sonata 2.5 soon.

So, looking at the Aussie specs for the 4WD and 2WD PHEV, I see that they have removed the front parking sensors (why) and reduced rear to 4 from 6. This also implies that it will not have auto parking or auto reverse (also indicated in the brochure linked). Why would they do that?

Unless a type, this seems to be a strange omission. Both do have a 9 speaker system though.

Thai specs have both; 6 sensors front + back as well as intelligent parking and reverse and also mention app control.

the thai version also has the single rear light like the pre-facelift. Just wondering if that change will come on the phev?

I was planning on booking the hev this week but now wondering if I should book the phev instead. The showroom had offered me a white with black interior H6 hev for 12750000 and I was considering it but didn't go for it and decided i'll wait for the 2 months

Is there any external look wise changes to differentiate the PHV from lets say the 1.5? If I had it i'd hate that my 13 million car looks exactly same as a getleman driving a 9.5 mill car

Would you say the 1.5T is underpowered? I know this is subjective but I hear it has a sub-10 second 0-100 time so probably not what one would normally call underpowered. Keen to hear thoughts though.

They tuned to 1.5 which now makes around 180hp and has good torque too.
Those figures are definitely good.

Yeah I had seen that a few days ago and that felt odd to me as well. I had compared with Thai market which still had the existing setup. But the Thai FL is not the same as Australia and our's is almost exactly the Australian model. Thai market H6 has always been oddly out of step with the rest of the world.

I tried to find the FL PHEV in South Africa, Malaysia, Philippines etc. but it hadn't launched there at that time so couldn't confirm.

South and Latin America also doesn't seem to have the FL PHEV so far but the existing PHEV there already had the Hi4 system and had full suite of parking sensors and autonomous parking. Also they still continue to have 19" 235/55 RFT tires which I haven't seen elsewhere.
