In EVs only BYD will get some success.

BYD leaned heavy towards PHEV in their lineup, partly because they were arguably the pioneers of PHEV tech. But their home market is quickly moving away from PHEVs so their sales are also apparently taking a hit because of that. They still have hope of exporting PHEV models internationally, but they get overtaken domestically, that's a lot of mindshare lost.

Among other Chinese, Haval will continue to rule for a while.

Ironically, GWM is also very allergic to NEVs. They've been dragged kicking and screaming into the new electric era that's the reason they only have a handful of electrified options, and even then their EV sales aren't good.

Hell, GWM was the only major car manufacturer I know who launched a brand new 4.0L V8 engine at 2025 Shanghai Auto Show when even the biggest European manufacturers were focused on showcasing their electric lineup.

High performance large EVs are just not possible at reasonable costs right now in Pakistan. Because of their large size and weight, they'd need powerful motors, which in turns mean they'll have to have larger battery packs and get the higher duty tiers applied to them.

I'm not saying it can't be done. Someone could come in with a very little profit markets and offer something, but I don't see it happening practically.

The H6 PHEV does actually have a sub-5 sec 0-100 km/h time but that's only with Launch Control. Under normal PHEV drive, you're limited to what the electric motor is producing because the engine would be off unless it's needed and the rear wheels (and motor) aren't powered all the times.

So this being all wheel drive would be an even better choice? But yes I have seen the same at the service center and who could forget the valet incident with the Etron at Fairways Lahore (which isnt even as powerful). I really do appreciate the advice! With great power comes great responsibility so rest assured I would never try something risky with a high power vehicle.

Only the one with aggressive pricing with good after sales will survive. Take decision wisely and try to stick with your purchase as long as possible.

My point of asking about the PHEV H6 was specifically because Haval seems to have among the best warranty terms. Personally I do not think anyone is profiting when selling their cars even when they sell them for more than they bought them with the weakening rupees.

100% agreed, but wouldn't we say that this H6 Phev is right there in terms of performance for a reasonable cost? (I know Sazgar is having some good margins but even then I'd highly consider purchasing).

That is expected and totally fine. This being a PHEV I'm expecting the power delivery to be somewhat closer to a HEV hybrid than a full fledged EV anyhow. Realistically from an EV mode going full power what do you think the 0-100 would be? 5.5 seconds or even slower? (just asking from a theoretical standpoint)

Remember the Ora 6? They created so much hype around that car. I have not seen a single one on road yet.

Same. I recently went to Islamabad and my cousin was telling me that there is a Cafe/Hotel there (unsure about the name) that basically has the car outside all the time, probably the owners. He said that it looks amazing in its grey color. Would have loved to see some more in the Lahore area. I recently saw a Ora 3 but that wasn't worth another look

ORA is a complete different vehicle. H6 PHEV is fairly a H6. After looking at the first look images, it shares the exact same body as of 1.5T, 2.0T, H6 HEV. Down side is that there is no exclusivity. Upside is, you can find general body parts shared across platform. This gives an additional mind comfort that the car is generally accepted in market and is present in substantially wide numbers.

The specs on PW + pictures on PW FB page show 6+6 sensors and the autonomous parking and reverse features are intact.

If that is the one installed on the Australian FL HUs than AA and CP are going to be lag fests

Is the one in the Australian FL wired or wireless? A lag fest on wired would be quite disappointing

Hardware wise, HUs are the same across all variants of the FL. The only difference is the OS flavor that runs. Our current models run a very stripped down version of Coffee OS, which isn't anything more than a custom UI skin on Android.

I wouldn't be surprised if the non PHEV variants of the FL also had cellular modems in Pakistan as well because they already have Wi-Fi. Pre FL, our HUs didn't have Wi-Fi radios nor cellular radios while the Aussie versions had both but were not being used.

I’ve seen a few of them on the roads here in Lahore, but they’re about as rare as spotting a Seal 6 or Deepal L07—although I do notice the Deepal S07 more frequently than any of these.

In GWM’s case, they’re perhaps the only Chinese manufacturer actively resisting full electrification, seemingly being dragged kicking and screaming into the EV market. You can clearly sense this from their pure EV offerings, each being a rather unconventional—though undeniably distinctive—designs.

Seems like they indeed are also launching the smaller ~19 kWh version in Pakistan as well instead of the larger ~34 kWh battery version. Maybe, they'll offer that as another higher trim in the future.

Do they even offer a 19kwh PHEV? This is what wikipedia says about the different PHEV battery sizes.

I think Pakistan is getting the same. Kind of disappointing. 100km NEDC means around 60-70km real world EV range.

it's really terrible from chinese brands, why misguide potential buyers with such a crap "standard".

All EU/US cars I've seen advertise WLTP range which is a bit reliable.
