In the start it's three lanes but afterwards it's not marked but looks like it will be three lanes. There is a newly built two lane road that passes near Shimla hills, i think it's a section of this motorway. If it is then that's two lane. Here are some random photos i took a couple of months ago from Abbottabad to Shah maqsood.

Due to non provision of funds by NHA, work on Gilgit Skardu road will be stopped from 1st of December.Two units of FWO working on the project have been ordered to report back to HQs.This is a great loss for GB and will delay completion of project by at least two years causing severe inconvinience to people of Baltistan.

Roadworks are not carried out during extreme cold temperatures due to few physical limitations, mainly coaltar does not get enough settling time and cracks, days are shorter and so does workable day light, manpower efficiency decreases significantly.
