i was also thinking that they want to scare me. how an ECU cost this much...

I got wiper blades for 850 rupees (just rubbers) from Toyota Capital I-9, last year

try spare part market also and look for ECU dere...you might find one....!

Well its quite strange that Toyota Rawal is unable to arrange ecu for you. Even the parts which are not available in the dealership can be procured from the main office that is toyota-indus head office karachi since car is being manufactured here not imported. Irrespective of that these electronic items are imported by the company itself but they do have some extra in stock therefore i think you can get it from the production plant too if you have any contact there.
The other option was there is a guy naming Nazir and may be few people knows him. He works close to surya chowk TNT market. As far as i know he is the best person in islamabad who can repair the damage ECU's. I have seen him reparing ecu's of honda's,gli's... He had got manuals which have detailed diagrams of the whole ECU. You can consult him if you can't get any other from the market.

Hi everybody, After a long strugle and trying every ecu available in pakistan we came to know that only and only the ecu by toyota pakistan can run this vehicle. We tried another ecu from a pakistani Altis and it ran perfect. Toyota did not have this part anywhere in Pakistan and said it can take 1.5 months minimum to get it for us. So finally I tried the contact given by @fzaman and he fixed it in an hour. The car is back in 100% performance, unbelievable. The guy was fixing mercs and beamers. I would suggest anyone having similar problem to go to him. Thanks All pakwheelers for your help. Take care.

Dear is there any contact number of nazir for ECU repair. Or where is his workshop. Help me as my GLI 2012 suddenly starts jerking and after sometime it becomes ok. But sometimes it stops and dnt get acceleration in any shift. I tried fuel pumps but problem remains. I think it's problem with ECU. Thanks my contact number is 03339988267
