Help needed in tyre selection

Dear Friend, Taking in mind that You want to spend good amount in tires means you really want Ultra High Performance tires, Well The above said brand are ok but not of the class you are looking for,
i would advice you to prioritize you selection
1 Continental
2 Michelin
3 Bridgestone

The above brands are the most premium brands and are market leaders world wide, Continental is OE tire for Mercedes, BMW and Range Rovers,

Sir got a quote of 9,000 for Michelin Energy XM1 and 7,100 for Bridgestone GR80 without discount, GR90 are short.

Pirelli P6000 are not good for Corolla.

I think GR80, Db decibel V550 or Continentals are best for you, for low cost Kumho KH11 are also very good.

Unfortunately V550 are discontinued, which were the better ones, Db ES501 are available, 7,000 for Phillpines and 7,500 for Japanese.

Kumho KH11 are available for 5,500 Rs.

No idea about Continentals.

Well you can get ContiComfortContact 1 & ContiEcoContact 3 for 8.5 K per piece.
I was using Michelin Energy Saver in my corolla they last 48000Kms, Basically Energy savers are light weight tires with less grip and low resistence as well, and above all is that there fuel Effecieny varies between .3 to .5 % that is almost negligable, Soo avoid energy Savers , Go for XM 1 or Pilot Primacy, they are much better

First of all i am happy u r getting rid of Generals now.
Go for Slick Toyo Trampio good grip/ handling the only thing to worry is wet/dry weather....
Jokes apart i have used Good Year Eagle F-1 on my Vti and its a good tyre. But finding a fresh piece is a hard job. And shelf life normally is 3 years but here sometimes the tyres are restamped.

BTW Dunlop SP 9000 is also a gud choice.

the good year eagle f1 im getting is 2.5-3 years old,i found the tyre to b v hard,i dont know how well it wil perform,when u got those,were they hard as well?

Of the four original choices posted:

these are the options i have in mind
1 pirelli p6000 (5.8k/tyre 195/65)
2.good year eagle f1 (6.8k/tyre 195/65)* 2.5 years old stock *
3.federal ss595 (6.5k/tyre 205/60)
4.yokohama s drive (7k/tyre 195/65 )

I would choose the Pirellis as they are only ones out of the four that are non-directional and thus can be rotated at all corners and thereby give a longer quieter life, providing their UTQG ratings are good too, and are fresh stock (<2 yrs or so)

As 959 has said, if DB super Espec are available, just go for them. Otherwise DB series is a good choice which gives you a good drive at any terrain i.e urban and rural. Looks like you have made up your mind by now. As a matter of fact, the most important thing is that you get them from a reliable person who has a fresh stock. If you get a reliable dealer, even Nexen aren't bad.

Sir I recommend:

1. Continental ContipremiumContact2.
2. Michelin Primacy LC or Pilot Preceda.
3. Bridgestone GR80/90.
4. Yokohama Db Super E or AVS V550 or ES 501.

195/55 R15 and 205/60 R14 are ideal size since stock is 175/70 R14.

Stay away from Pirelli P6000 and Goodyear F1, there ride is on the firmer side even on Civics rear doublewishbone.

Your tire will wear sooner, suspension will be ruined also, unless you have smooth roads like we do have in DHA, PECHS or Clifton areas.

Do not mind it, I know you love your car and wants the best for it but there is no point in installing High Performance low profile oversize tires in a 1.3L Corolla like P6000 or Eagle F1, especially in a country which is known to have the worst roads in region.

If you want High performance S Drive are best, 7.5K per piece.

SP Sports 9000 even have more sporty tread and they rides even firmer then S drive and will wear exactly after 40,000 KM or so.

Yup Toyo Trampio are Slick as i mentioned in my post....and yes ul hardly get Fresh Good Year Tyre....And yes they were bit hard when i was using them. Go for SP9000...no traction issue and they will also help u in ur drags LOL.

the pirellis i used before lasted 60k,the eagle f1 even being a v hard tyre has good ratings n my drive is mostly in city n rare on v bumpy roads,my travel is basically on main roads,n roads in lahore arnt tat bad
+ my car being a 1.3L rolla,dsnt really matter,wt i know is corolla brakes suck big time,2 steps can solve this problem,getting good tyres n lowering the car,im going for both,step 1 for me is good tyres

Sir S drive are best for your setup, better then Pirelli, if you can get them, Goodyear Eagle F1 GS are even better, F1GS costs 9K/tyre.

S drive for 7.5K/piece Philippines one.
