Under Android Ones, you get almost 02 years of all updates (including major OS upgrades, as well as monthly security patches), and for 3rd year, security patches / upgrades only.

Dear as far as updates are concerned, I am of the opinion that these regular security patches, updates, major OS updates (and stable ones, not the Beta or Alpha ones. Alpha / Beta ones may be installed if one is a bit Tech. guy, and can manage any bugs, issues, etc. if / when arise) must always be installed, and not skipped.

2ndly regrading slowing down of an Android phone or computer based on Microsoft Windows OS, its my personal experience that the devices start getting slowed down, irrespective you install updates or not.

Still, this may not be an excuse to skip updating devices. With ever increasing risks of online threats, etc., devices must always be kept up-to-date.

If you start feeling that your Android smartphone has started getting slowed, back up your data to your PC or portable device, perform a clean, hard reset, start clean, install Apps, etc. and you are good to go.

May feel cumbersome, and may take some extra time, but worth it. At least the performance will be back.

(As far as I know, iOS, Mac OS, Linux, etc. do not get slowed down with passage of time)

Nope. I think when the parent company releases updates, security patches, etc., it keeps hardware in consideration, that its old, new, etc.

Oy google apps are banned like maps, chrome, play store, earth etc. Facebook and whatsapp are no google based

YES. It can be possible.

For New Huawei devices launched after the ban, Google Play Store and Google Play services might not work in them, however, for old Huawei devices which were launched before the ban, everything may work perfectly fine.

2ndly, if you do not have a Google account, you can still download apks from different links (some are considered safe and secure, like apkmirror, apkcombo, etc.) and install, and they might work fine.

YES, they might depend on the Google Play services (if not the Play Store), and if its not working, then some Apps might face issues in their proper functioning.
