Hi sir,
I have a question. My Passo (2011) is about 84000km driven. I have seen in yours post that for 1KR-FE we have to feed Minimum 0W-20 OR mAX 5W-40.
i have feed 5W-40(Shell Ultra) in my passo yesterday.
BI have read the Passo manual today where they mentioned that 0w-20 or 5w-30 will be good.

I am little confused now. Is it any difference between 5w-30 & 5w-40 ? means minor difference is ok but is it ok for me now to continue with 5W-40 now and onward ?

I'm also using 5W40 since last 2 years in my Passo there is no problem at all but according to owners manual 0w20 is recommended. So I'm also going to change it with 5W30 or 0W30

I am also thinking to change it to 5w30 but not now. because i have fed 5w40 few days ago. After 4000 or 5000KMs, i will have to change it to 5W30.

I m not sure about the science of oil....but for last 2 year i m using guard 5w-20 and my passo 2009 givingme optimum milage i.e 12.5-13km....i had tried shell 5w-30 n 5w-40 twice but km fell on 10 ...

Actually in my passo 2011 , i dont have an issue of the mileage. On motorway, at speed around 115 km.h, my passo is given me 15-16. And normally it is given me around 17 with light foot. so mileage is ok. i am jst concerned about the engine efficiency and its life.
Lets c, after 3,4000kms, i will have to change its oil to 5w30(as per manual) then will see.

Can I use the pure HOBC (altron high performance with RON 95-97)not the simple altron X with RON or 87-91 with 1 KR FE. Will it damage the engine using RON (95-97) only and not mixing in some quantity.

Bro that's awesome.. Mine is model 2014, registered july 2107,and it's been driven 5000 km only... But it has never gone beyond 12.5 km/ltr and that too on high octane
