Hi! I want to change tyres of grande from Yokohama adavn db to general tyre GTR thunder max ? What is your opinion

I have used alot of different tires too, from Dunlops to Chinese and Koreans. I currently have BG Luxo in my car and they're shit tires. Bought brand new but they're rock hard after 10,000 kms. Dunlops LM704 in the other car are still smooth as silk, although prone to more punctures due to a softer compound.

The BG Luxo also takes longer to heat up in winters, making the first 4-5 KMs very uncomfortable.

"Chinese Tyres" is a very broad term. Which Chinese budget tire brand do you prefer. I had also shortlisted Chinese Windforce Catchfors tires which were similarly priced

They keep changing but preference is those better quality brands, they call them Aplus brands, those are the sort that stick around for atleast a few years

Windforce catchfors is a very good Chinese tire. I am using it in one of my rides.
Using Minerva in another. Again an excellent tire.
Other options you can look for are Tracmax and Sialun.

I have extensively used Yokohama Advan Db, Yokohama Bluearth Ae51 and Yokohama Es32. So in comparison to these Chinese tires are pretty decent.

Had very bad experience with Ovation, twice. Both came with cars I had bought. I have a really good experience with Rapid. Softer tires with good traction and no problem of frequent punctures.

The only problem with Chinese tires is that the brands keep on changing every 2 to 3 years here.

Chinese manufacturing is so extensive that they have hundreds of brands but dealers here import stock that gives them highest margin.

Every second or third car I see these days is running chinese tires from Alto to Sportages.
Its just a matter of time. I dont think well be seeing much of Japanese brands in the next 5 to 7 years. Market in Pakistan is changing rapidly.
