HID in Suzuki Raider

HID bulb power rating is 35w and most of the people saying it can melt my raider default headlight reflector, how can my headlight reflector safe from melting by using the bulb whose wattage is thrice to the HID bulb ? 90w produce more heat.

Don't know about Raider but I was also told that RP housing will melt but it didn't. There are many myths and many facts. One should dare to try to confirm.

but how did you place the holder in the stock thingy in which the normal holder goes?

@ Op, Yes it will melt the housing of the default light (check the material of the housing from its back if it is plastic then you should go for the metal on) i have the experience of installing HID in my daily routine ride i.e Honda Cd 70 2010 model from last 3 years.
For the whole process first of all you need
1. Good experienced electrician especially installing the HID in bikes ( because majority can do it but after installation the repairs are the main headaches)
2. Good quality HID Kit. (better if you can find any good piece from the car's decoration shops)
3. Metal material Head Lamp
4. 8-10 AMP Dry or wet battery
5. Good Wiring (Task done by your trusted electrician)

Don't use HID. Raider has plastic base light so it will be melt.
Use these kind of bulbs if u find them from local market. I am also planing to install this. These LED bulb have low temp and produce more light.

Yes these are good I have already checked them but they are for DC 12 V(can be used in GS150). In Raider we have 12V AC.

Dear All

I need some suggestion with you guyz, I have recently purchased Suzuki Raider bike and I want to install HID in it. Suzuki's mechanics said that HID will damage the inner hosing of headlight by heat because reflector is made of plastic, there isn't any metal reflector available in the market for Suzuki Raider bike until and unless you change the headlight. So what should I do to run the HID or I won't be able to run it ? Thanks in advance

hid are illegal if your trying to install hid in raider even with project to make it safe for incoming traffic plz don't It would result in wiring catch fire becoz raider/sprinter has no fuse
