Highest Point of Punjab. First Discovered by Sher Dil, Multan

Following are the coordinates of the highest point of Punjab[U]

(Latitude 30°21'38.59"N Longitude 70° 7'42.53"E)[/U]

Guys this is more than 200 feet higher than the highest point of Murree (Kashmir Point). Previously Murree and Patriata are considered the highest point of Punjab. But now i have searched this point as highest point of punjab i.e. 7585 feet Above Sea Level, Murree is 7385 and Patriata is Almost 7200 feet above sea level. (As per Google)

I now very well this tribe belt area of DG khan, i spent a days over there in Tibbi Qaisrani area and watch out Koh-i-Sulaiman mountains as well.
I heart Hazrat Sulaiman climbed this mountain and looked out over the land of South Asia.especially Sinduo River.Fort Munro is situate in this Sulaiman Range. South Punjab "Murree".

Though this range is not that green as compared to Murree, but the track is pretty beautiful. It was pretty cold out there when mercury was touching 48 in Multan, in July 2001. We drove there from Multan via Tounsa Barrage.
When we were reaching the top almost, the track which we covered was amazingly visible as a spiral snake in the mountains We visited Fort Munroe, but it was not the highest peak/point of this range.

Just to add something here....
Google earth uses GTOPO30 for topographic mapping and it has a resolution of 90m which means it's precious may drift from 0 to 300 feet...

Here's a correction...
i'm not sure which one of the geodata it uses.. SRTM 3 or GTOPO 30
If it uses GTOPO 30, the precision may drift from 0 to 900meters...
If it uses SRTM 3, the precious may drift from 0 to 90meters.

For the genuine altitudes, next time i will be in patriata n muree's highest peak points ill measure from my casio protrek watch and garmin GPS and will post the pics too to solve the mystry , how is that ?
