Went for my cars maintaince today among the jobs i told them to replace the brake fluid. The staff guy and mechanic both said in one voice "Wo to ni change krty na" and after a little persuasion and telling them to consult any owners manual, they agreed to change the brake fluid on MY Responsibility as they said it might damage seals.

I diagnosed a code related to ignition coil and spark plugs for a relative's car (his mechanic had put new spark plugs without detaching battery wires, so a code got stored in ECU). I cleared the code. The next day my relative got back to me almost in a blaming tone: "car ka AC trip kar raha hai, mechanic ustaad keh raha hai ke spark plugs wala code clear karney see AC compressor kharab ho gaya"

I get those customers too, "you changed the oil in my car 1 year ago and now the rear hatch wiper rubber is torn - Its your fault - now fix it" - I tell them to pound sand and never entertainfurther business even with higher payment.

Ok then error might be there due to some other issue. Once I cleared it was gone and hasn't come up yet.

I have decided not to advise relatives' any further for their automotive problems.

This is because they

1 - are stuck in ustaad syndrome
2 - they want to sell you a new master cylinder, slave cylinders and caliper sets later on

flushing brake fluid goes against both of the above.
