Mene kaha yar isme Coolant dalna hai gadi me me leker aunga, he said POrani gadi me Pani hi dalta hai Coolant to new gadio k lye hota hai i was looking at his face lol , then i correct him bhai is me Distelled water daleinge and baki geniune Coolant and then he agreed k sai hai ap le ana me nikal k Flush kar k daldunga Distelled water and Coolant

A fellow member texted me today and was worried.

He said that when he went for engine oil change today, for his Altis 1.6, to a Caltex / Havoline engine oil change booth, they under-filled and only poured in 4L (which I think is much short of the amount mentioned in the manual, with oil filter change).

They gave the analogy that its their standard practice that they only pour in 4L in 1.6 Altis, irrespective of the quantity mentioned in the manual, and that, pouring in engine oil up to the quantity mentioned in the owners manual, damages the engine seals.

If in manual, it has been clearly written that with oil filter change you need to pour in 4.2L, then how can pouring 4.2L after oil + oil filter change, can damage engine seals?

If someone has logical explanation to it, the kindly elaborate, else if, I am clueless what to say and comment on it?

kiun k 4.250 ltr oil 1800cc gari mein dalta hay, is hisab se 1600cc mein 4 ltr or 1300cc mein 3.5ltr dale ga...

Rule of thumb is
Never follow Mechanics
Just tell them do task XYZ whatever it's
And if somebody has doubt, ask on forums anyone can guide
It's the responsibility of owner to check engine oil, brake transmission fluid and coolant quantities and make sure Mechanic/oil guys pours correct quantity
In pak one can't rely solely on these roadside Mechanics
