Slip joint noise?
Does it suffer from startup stiction when moving off?
thanks for getting back to me
i’ve checked the shaft, it has operative play.. nothing more than that
yes sir, it does
plus, there’s this ‘ring ring’ sound but only when the truck is in gear, i guess it started right after the lift up..
Your input splines are doing this, you will need to grease those.
What grease did you use?
so, i’ve to grease the shaft? that will do? if there’s anything else to do, please guideor shall i go for one piece shaft to avoid such noises?
grease that i used last month was something like NLGI lithium based
Nlgi lithium base?
Thats missing everything altogether
Nlgi is thickness of the grease and while lithium is a grease base, you need to use a lithium complex nlgi2 grease with GC rating atleast with added dry lube of molybdenum disulfide for the cardan slip yoke and a similar grease without added moly for the u joints. (Very important)
The slip yoke will use the same moly additized grease.
Do not use MP grease without an EP rating on any part of the driveshaft.
wow.. that’s real heavydo i have to like mix mol with grease or does it come with some product containing everything?if yes, what product shall i use for UJs and that slipjoint or yoke
thanks alot for detailed message, Xulfiqar bhae
addition/correction: nlgi3 multipurpose grease made by VEGAthat’s what i’m usingbefore that, desi grease made by aalu was used to destroy my shaft twice
You can buy moly added greases already, e.g. LM47 from liqui moly or any similar one from mobi or chevron.
Do you have a picture or link of this vega branded grease? By your statement of it being “multi purpose “ that is quite vague too, if its actually MP grease and not a heavy duty EP (extreme pressure) type it’s not suitable for the driveshaft.
i don’t have the picture atm, maybe i’ll be able to share it ya later..
so, i gotta grease my shaft joints and everything.. and things will be settled, hopefully?
plus, shall i go for single piece shaft to avoid this issue, or two piece is fine?

found it
Their website looks fake as hell!
If they are US based and they dont have a publicly viewable material safety data sheet then how in the hell are they loading pallets of it on a truck?
They dont even publish their tech specifications sheet on their site.
I would not use this product based on the above.
ok.. let me get that you’ve mentioned abovethanks alot bhae jan
bhae got it checked.. nothing was wrong.. just 4x4 wasn’t dis-engaging now, everything is fine alhamdolilahthanks alot for your timejazakAllah
It's an original product, they are producing from UAE and Zimbabwe. Does the job flawlessly, but if someone needs cheap grease then they can easily get guard here.
Do you have spec of this grease?
They mention an american origination but dont have a single piece of information abt the product.
If a website claims US and doesnt have published material sheets for products its producing., its classified as fake.
Nope. I couldn't find that either, nor I'm defending it. Probably they are manufacturing and packaging it in China, I was only trying to say that instead of using these cheap knock-offs one should use Guard instead. Even Toyota dealerships here use Guard for different applications.
haseeb bhae, ibuse guard’s filters and so far they’re doing goodplan in g to get grease aswell
thanks alot
