HILUX REVO Modifications Thread | So what Mods did you do to you Lux Today?

Waiting for my hilux to arrive later this month. Have already ordered these accessories.

-ARB bullbar
-9-inch driving lights from Auxbeam
-50 inch LED bar from Auxbeam

Accessories I am considering.

-Canopy or Tonneau cover
-Sportsbar/ Rollbar
-Bigger tyres
-Custom wrap

Will wait till I try it out with the bullbar and stock suspension to decide if I need to upgrade the suspension.

Have just added an aeroklas trinity U-box in the deck till now. Waiting for better roll bar options to arrive. Interested in the one which Aussie models have come with.

Can you please share the ARB bull bar model you ordered and the $$$?

I went with the commercial bullbar in plain black paint beacuse it looked the sturdiest and meanest. Some of the other ones like the Summit and the alloy bar seem to have better finishing and matching colors etc but protection and sturdiness was my top priority. It cost me around 1.8 lakh

Don't you find the "commercial bullbat" completely suppressing the front look of the Revo? Did you check out the bull bars which Toyota Australia are offering? Check out their website.

Well looks are subjective and no I dont find it to be 'completely supressing' rather I find it to be 'completely protecting' the front end. As I said if I was going for looks ARB makes some really fancy bars also. But if they lack in protection that totally defeats the purpose of a bullbar. The fancier bars have plastic trim pieces, shiny paint/ chrome coating etc that will be prone to scratches and cosmetic damage.

I find that the purpose of a rugged offroader is completely defeated if its front end is flimsy plastic like that of any compact sedan. Hence the changes I am making are aimed more at practicality rather than show-shaa you see with the usual hilux loaded with chrome parts and extended bumpers or body kits whatever you call them.

P.S I did look at Toyota Australia bullbars. Theyre not bad. But how do you get them in Pakistan?

installed 9 inch LED driving lights and ARB sahara bullbar recently instead of Commercial. Planning to lift the front height by 2-3 inches. I am quite hesitant about changing the stock suspension though.

What about you? Any upgrades
