Once my car was hit by a pig and caused too much damage. Before that, another car's door was heavily damaged. Poster's ride is still in very good shape.

Good to know that you are safe. This was also happened with me but i was lucky that my car was stopped. On kashmir highway was coming towards f-10 from isb club. speed was 100km/h. suddenly a line of 10-12 boars of different size in descending order came on road. I hit the brakes and thanks to ALLAH. car was stopped. Abs had done its job well.

even with a close range 7mm bullet these beasts take couple of seconds to fall down
your damage is less and can be fixed easy
10-15 years back when their used 2 be wild life in isb, i know someone who carried his cars bumper on rear seat after a hit with one of those

It only helps to control the vehicle in steering away from danger. This manuverability is achieved by releasing the brake pressure on the locked wheel. so stopping straight before the danger is not the golden advantage of ABS. Passing around the danger is the speciality of ABS.

your statements stands valid for developed countries where roads got a very good grip and ABS there is particulary meant for Snow and rain hit roads but if you see the roads in pakistan which got no grip and bald enough to make you skid like you are moving on ice in case of an event of emergency braking , ABS help you there even if you do not steer and stamp the brake while being in straight line. I hope I have conveyed my point. Pardon if I failed to make you understand.

I will not go in the road texture details like micro undulations, asphalt reaction to temperature, incorrect base material and wrong laying techniques.

Focusing only on ABS it is proven that any car with locked wheels will take less distance to stop than its anti locked counter part. Reason is simple physics rolling friction is always lesser than stationary friction. Here ABS keeps it rolling. This concludes over the situation in discussion.
