I am also seeing the pics .it surely looks like Honda city engine as on Honda dream engine .it is clearly written as Honda dream .whereas on this only ivtec is written . I am no expert but it seems with the size of this car it will be underpowered car

Its all over the net, the engine is the the same 1.5L i-vtec engine that honda has been using for many years. The diesel variant of brv is the earth dreams engine. The CVT is also part of the earth dreams umbrella. The 1.5L BRV engine has been obviously re-tuned to accommodate the CVT, so of course it will perform differently than the current 1.5L city we have.

I think there is too much undue criticism at times, local people for eg criticizing honda atlas for lack of leg room in the 3rd row. Honda Atlas just manufactures what is already available internationally. The same petrol engine is being used internationally for the BRV.

Yes they should be criticized for poor build quality like welding joints, fittings, etc like was done when the civic launched. The fact remains that this will be a popular family vehicle, given lack of other new choices at this price point.

What you are quoting is Indian market stuff . In Thailand Malaysia all brv uses earth dream engine.so for such an expensive car they should had put earth dream engine .i don't see this car doing well in Pakistani market .sure it is 7 seater .but there are better options available in market then this car

Where did you heard it? No online portals claiming earthdream for BRV and I visited honda myself to ensure that it wasn't earthdream it was simple 1.5 aspire engine

We just came back from a 7 day trip to Shogran, Naran, Babusar Top, Chilas, Gilgit, Hunza and Khunjerab top on BRV 2017 with 8 family members. During the trip we drove to Shogran 7750 ft, Duikar 10000 ft., babusar top 13690 ft, and Khunjerab Pass 15400 ft, we also have tough road from Chilas to Gilgit, we certainly have no issues whatsoever in travelling, whether going up or coming down. Very economical, comfortable and reasonable vehicle in this price.

Did drove back from Hunza to Islamabad in 13 hours constantly and no issues with driving seat too. Definitely recommended for middle class families who love to travel with leisure.

Were you 8 adults or it includes kids also. I would like to know your review of BRV. Specially while climb to babusar. Did you feel any under power issue or not. How was low gear mode.?
What about fuel consumption in hilly area. ?
