Honda CD175 Bobber Project

I'm too a little bit concerned about the vibration issue. However I saw what Junaid Akhtar did with his "extremely modified monoshock cd175" engine mounts...... I'm talking about the rubber bush engine mount his highness used to reduce vibrations. I was hoping it will solve the vibration issue and I can put in a larger engine.

Other than the engine mount modification I would also modify this T-bone frame with outer beams just like a delta box frame if .....and only if I go for the inline 4 cylinder engine. Let see what happens!

I might have no hands on experience when it comes to bike building..... But I think my passion is what will drive me through this project!

Dont worry in start no body has, its sure is the Passion which breaks the boundries..

hahahaha..... Abhi meri Shadi nahi howee hai! I will definately go for a soft tail. Infact I will also go for torsion seat.....for extra comfort!

Yaar copying the exact design is not only extremely difficult but also against the spirit of customization. I want my ride to be unique, Obviously the black bike will be used as an inspiration and so will some other extremely co0l bobbers.

I purposefully choose a bobber project as it requires lesser mods than a full-on custom chopper. I have undertaken this project to acquire some hands on experience for my next project, which is extremely ambitious . (If I tell you, then I have to kill you)

On a serious note, the only reason the black bike looks soo damn seductive ..... is because everything on that bike is in correct proportion and in the right angles. Agar individually har peice ko alag alag dekha jaaye tow nothing is out of this world. Humaray "kareegar" bhi har individual part itna hee acha bana saktay hain. But overall yeh look achieve kerna har kisi kay bas ki baat nahi. Proportion wise this black bike is right on the money!

I planning to upgrade the brakes to ventilated disc, put on bigger and wider tyres and also reinforce the frame with outer beams just like a delta box frame to make the whole frame and drivetrain worthy of handling 40bhp dished out of the CBR250 engine.

As this particular machine was rotting for almost an year. The previous owner broke the timing chain and never got it fixed. Since then it was sitting in his open to sky parking space.

LESSON LEARNT:
Never buy a bike which is sitting for over a month!......... why?...........Well as it sits for so long its becomes a nightmare to take it apart.

I can dismantle a normal 70cc completely in an hour, however it took me 5 hours to dismantled this piece of shhhhhh........
I had to wrestle with the Swing arm axle for 1 freakin hour to wiggle it out.

The bloody Engine:
The worst part in the whole disassembly however was to lift the engine out of the frame. As the CD175 has a T-bone frame the engine is entrapped within the frame from 4 sides (top, bottom, front and back). I had to take the head off the engine to make room to lift the chassis out sideways (from the left or right).

LATHE WALA
Anyways as during the dismantling process I slipped the thread of 2 bolts I had to take the frame to the good old "lathe wala". Tow jab lathe walay kay paas jaa hee rahay hain tow I'll ask him to remove the front end for the frame, as I don't have the required tools to take the front end apart.

THE FRONT END
The previous owner told me that the front end is of this bike is of some 400cc bike. I think the front end is of a Honda CB400 (1978-80 model). Please correct me if I'm wrong. So I wont be swapping the front end. Front wheel is 18 inches and I would like to keep it that way. Haan wider tyres and Alloys in 18 inches is a must for me. Baqi agla hissa overhual kerwa loonga.
