Honda CD185 Twin - Restoration

I wonder if the mechanic is trying to be funny, like most of them do. Better get a second opinion before dismantling the engine. These engines are not everybody's business. You may regret later.

yup i also second u..... Engine changing is gud idea rather than palying with the current engine because timing plays the main role...

Sir, i cant find any problem in sending u ur desired stuff but keep in mind when u swap out ur current system wd another current system it will effect the engine timing and as in result heatup, knocking, not getting good mileage,etc..... i second u that its the bolt on fit for ur machine... Sir, have a thorough discussion before taking any action.... ill also consult sum gud mchcanics of ROAD MASTER till Saturday kay what to put in

i can provide u CB250 complete current system.... so ina day or a two ill gv u the quotation for the whole setup or else now a days u can also hv complete engine change for 200 hawk ka engine uthaaein aur 200 mein dalein

Cant get the second opinion due to lack of time and bike is dismentaled at his shop so cant pickup the engine only.

what i think is that he understands the restoration but may be want to earn a little money. No problem as far as he is taking all the pain to find parts and doing it as per stock specs without disturbing me. He is on my way back to home so i daily pay him a visit to see development.

Thank you for your help sir. Archon has done this swap and as i understand by his thread. he seems very happy with this. Anyhow, i have given my mechanic go ahead for restoration of its original specs. swaping the CDI is a B plan actually if the stock system doesnt works or in bad shape.

Eventually decided to have it painted in stock red but with a little more silver to give it a metalic and more shiny look.

What do you guys say?

Gud luck with the restoration.A frd of mine from lahore also has 185 restored to original specs.BUT he's also not happy with the current 6volt system.will keep an eye on your project.
2ndly, about the color on ur's.how about matelic maroon or dark grey matelic.

yup archon did the swap but how much pain he sustained he only knw CDI unit become a headache... Accurate timing management .... So.. aftr juma prayerz ill go to BURNI ustad most famous + most experienced Classic Bikes restorer what he suggest ill suggest u... then that part ill send u

These boxes cost me 3500rs 7-8 months back ... do not put this sort of seat its not comfortable
