Honda CGI 125 2011 vs 2013 Euro 2

Thanks for reminding me. Newer cg125s have a very low quality locally made CDI units. Previously we had a big issue when Pak Suzuki used sub standard CDI units in their gs150 and as a result many models needed replacements. Now, euro2 CGs are also facing similar issues with their CDI units. Engine has been degraded tremendously in terms of quality which makes euro2 CG not as good as older models.

First of all, Honda CG125, Honda Dlx, Suzuki GS150 and Ravi 125 are all small cc commuter bikes. They are not meant for racing and are not designed for this purpose. The overall build and engine quality of Honda Dlx is best among local bikes. Parts and mechanic are available throughout the country. It justifies its price in terms of quality. Though in terms of performance it is not equal to GS150 or ravi125 or even the new euro2 Cg125. But since most of us will not be drag racing on the streets, Honda dlx will prove to be a perfect workhorse which will give you trouble free ride for thousands of kms. Its engine parts are still very durable and Atlas has not sacrificed much on quality compared with cg125 where it has foregone quality in order to keep price stable.

If you visit hilly/mountain areas you will see how quickly dlx is replacing cg125. Almost all cg125s in these areas are older models and newer bikes are 75% honda dlx. The reason is that newer cgs are just not able to bear the stress of inclined/steep roads day-in and day-out. This is why people there are spending rs.20,000 more and going for better quality bike, Honda Dlx.

Btw, with newer dlx it is very common to hear it run for around 50,000kms before needing ring and piston replacements while it is common to find euro2 cgs needing head work at around 25,000kms (and make that 15,000kms for GS150 as timing chain needs replacement usually between 12000kms and 15000 kms )

SUPERCHARGED, actually. Its not the ECU beside the top end, its a supercharger in reality.

That copy pasted signature of yours should be enough motivation to twist that throttle at every signal and go to 100km/h in under 30 seconds and then go on to a top speed of 101km/h in under 2 mins. Who knows, you might get lucky and over take that unsuspecting civic who was barely going at 80km/h to begin with
