idsi is capable of more .it can do 22 km /l u wil have to drive a uncle of 60s with speeds of 80kmh without ac .

Not to forget,, i had 4 ppl in the car including the driver.

And yes i assume, if i had driven it at 85-90KMs/hour without AC and with 2 ppl,,,the mileage would have been somehere around 22,,,,which i think is outstanding for 1260cc car,,,,

Also, we had the 2003 iDsi right when it was launched,,,,drove it for 276000 flawless Kms,,,,totally on petrol,,,,that car used to give us something around 15-16kms/litre

BottomLine: I love Honda (Mein te Honda hi laisaan)

proved that long time back

i just wish it had a little more power it reminds me of the 1000cc sunny

I think these days with prices of everything rising like anything,,, economy is Much More important that 10Hp perhaps :-),,,,,so i think fair hai yaar,,,,,,,racing to nahi kerni na :-),,,,,,when the car is made for economy,,sacrifice has to be there on the power front

it retains iDSI Mileage but its now also the fastest 1300CC Car we have in Pakistan

i-DSI stands for Duel and Sequentiol Igination.
Basically this car was designed for fuel economy and thats what it did.

A friend told me that since I only use Hi-Octane, it also contributes to better fuel economy, although I am not so sure about this statement.

Alot of people on this forum told me that Hi Octane has higher octane readings hence burns faster, but I also observed better mileage on High Octane, I guess its due to the contamination in our simple petrol which lowers the mileage.

Honda City iVTEC does 0-100Km/h in 11.8 Seconds
Swift 1.3L is slightly faster 11.5 Seconds
while Honda Jazz 1.3 does it in 11.3 Seconds

compared to iDSI City and Corolla these times r very good

My sweet city goes approx 110km on 500 ruppees petrol nowadays in city without AC.
500 = 6.85litre
Approx 16km per litre in city.

I've City 2005 with 140k Km on the odometer. I can still get around 19 - 20 Km Per litre mileage from the car on the motorway keeping it at around 100km/hr speed. Even in the city, with full time A/c, it eazily does around 15Km/Ltr. The best mileage I got from my City was 23.5 Km/ltr when I kept the car at 2000 RPM constantly on the motorway (Speed was around 70KM). It may be a bit frustrating for others but I really enjoyed in nice winter weather with coool music and especially when I arrived in isloo with still 3-quarter of fuel in the tank!!!

very bad akbar as i was about to share my experiance of getting 24km/l bw peshawar and brahma bahatar motorway.i read that thread of hypermiling and kept my car under 105km/h.at 1o0 most of times.my car is sarkari (by factory so it has log bo0ks and petrol chits and blah blah).at the end of month when the avg of that perticular day was calculated it happened t0 be 24km/l. shocked n stunned we all were.i had city 2o05.

I must share my experience of my 1.8 VTI in this thread as the vehicle in the past one week on an average has done 12.10kms/lit within city. I can only contribute this improvement (from approx. 10kms/lit) to the change of weather significantly reducing the use of air conditioning.

A friend told me that since I only use Hi-Octane, it also contributes to better fuel economy, although I am not so sure about this statement.

if other people tell me i couldnt blelive,its my own experiment.
i have honda civic exi manual 2008 i have drive from larkana to hyderabad exactly 334 km....and took just 20 liter.not only one time but two times totally highway.

I have got IDSi Vario, it gives pathetic fuel average. Maximum 11km/ltr, got every thing done.
Although my altis 1.8 gives 11km/ltr and its auto.
