This is a journey of my Honda City 2004/5 model. I bought it in 2019 in covid. I had limited money and I was unaware of scams in market, so I bought a rough car as my budget was tight.
Over 3 years, I just used the car but then I realized its resale is good, and the car had a great average. So I decided even if I upgraded to another car I will never know how rough it has been used. So decided to restore my car to a brand new level !
Project Started in April 2024 !
I visited various garage best to middle level and low level painters and denters in Rawalpindi and Islamabad. Most suggested me to sell this car and buy another one. My argument was, other car may need again overhaul so why not restore my car to NEW !
I visit AAA shop at Highcourt road, Rawalpindi ( near Gulraiz), the owner Mr Abaid is really learned a UK return Pakistani. He had some restore projects already being handled in his garage which really impressed me.
I opted them to start the project, but I opted to buy all body parts my self from Chah Sultan and after discussion with them and garage owner I opted to replace the following to ensure everything is like new.
My Car condition - paint was all faded, - some rust in the car diggi, some rust on the floor of car and engine was also getting old.
Instead of getting the doors repaired as they needed new gatta for fresh interior looks, I opeted to replace everything
List of replacements all were KABLI and in fresh condition.

13-New Japanese Kabli Engine ( opened and checked and it was silver and in prestine condition) + New ECU - computer
14-New Clutch plates + pressure plates
15-All fresh oil and liquids of high quality
16-Kabli Wheel Cups (online purchase from Peshawar)
17-New Clutch master cylinder
18-NEw Brake survo master cylinder
19- Imported seat poshish of best quality
20-Denting Painting - 2k paint used of best quality
21-Kabli seatbelts
22-Kabli Sun visor with Mirrors
23-Fresh interior (Wooden of front panel)
24-New model Steering ( Kabli)
Mr. Abaid is knowledgeable and was very cooperative during the whole process which took btw 30-45 days to completely over haul the car to its former glory.
The engine on long gave me 22 km/l with A.C on my trip to Kashmir recently in July 2024. I am really happy at this, as my car is better than brand new after this expense. As even if I bought another car with this much money, I still would never have known that what issues it may inherit. Also, I painted the car to a colour which was Kabli doors genuine colour - some shade btw grey and silver which makes it even more attractive now!
