I tested a couple of brands (Pioneer, Kenwood, Linear Series)before settling for original speakers. Though I may not have the ears of an audiophile but none of them could produce the same effect as of front door Honda speakers.

Speakers are not the sole factor to produce rich audio quality. There are other factors to play in as well.

Mounts coming in city are solely designed for Honda speakers. It will definitely require alteration/adjustment if you want to install speakers of other brands.

^^ Michelin energy saver is a very rugged and hard tire as compared to stock Euro Star tires. It will surely last longer but on potholes or uneven roads it does make strange noises and makes your ride stiff due to high saturation of polyester in it.

I installed it in my City 2010 but wasn't satisfied with the performance & ride quality.

My suggestion is to keep the stock tires as they would pretty much serve the purpose if you don't intend to use your car for burn outs and drag racing or otherwise to improve the looks and ride quality go for DB or Maxxis.

and don't ruin the rear door speaker mounts/connectors by installing pioneers or kenwood door speakers. Get the original Honda speakers that would sit on the mounts perfectly.

Which profile you tried? 195/65 or 195/60 and what manufacturing date?

Congratulations. Keep the stock tires, they are most suitable for Pakistani roads and temperatures. Black color will keep you busy esp if you are in Faisalabad.

185 60 R15 with stock rims. Don't remember the exact date as I have replaced my ride with 2011 city but I guess it was 4509.

I so like Garmin GPS tablet , any body knowing about some reliable source where I can find it (Having fuel efficient routing, traffic trends, and similar catchy features)

First thing you should add is "Safar Ke Dua" sticker so that every time you read it before driving.

Drive on stock tyres and replace them after 20,000kms.

Get a trunk lip spoiler. Get illuminated door Sills for your new baby. When you open door, Blue Illuminated Sills get on that looks lovely Bling Bling :-). Drive your car for a week and you will know each and every short ways so there is no need of wasting money on Garmin GPS devices. Or else Install Google Maps on your cell, activate GPRS unlimited package and enjoy GPS. Seat covers only if you find some thing exact to original. Get nice Fogs lamps installed not fake ones. Rear glass and rear windows get tinted 50%. And your car will be awsome.

Absolutely not. No cutting etc is required in any car for installing speakers. Offcourse you need to have basic knowledge about speakers first e.g. if you blindly go to a shop and tell them that you need a speaker in 10k you will not only ruin your car but also get ripped off.

On the other hand, if you know the diameter of the mounting hole or the stock speakers, let says it is 6.5", you can go and get any decent 6.5" speakers or components (based on your own research or advice from someone) and no cutting etc would be involved. I have speakers installed currently in the doors of my civic and corolla and all my previous cars too and never had to cut anything. Every speaker was fitted in the stock location without any alteration and gave me not a single problem ever. Also the stock speakers are sh** and should be changed immediately if someone has interest in audio

First off, I am absolutely not claiming that Honda speakers sound better than pioneer or any other brand in general just because they are superior in quality or technologically advance. I am just saying that they sound more pronounced on those mounts because they are light, they fit perfectly and they complement the front identical speakers in such a way that overall output seems to be better.

Secondly, I don't know about your civic / corolla or any other car for that matter but people who are getting genuine fitting in their City without altering a thing/or poking a hole must be luckier than me like I said I am not an audiophile, I don't know much about audio and stuff, my suggestion is truly based on my personal experience and first hand information that I obtained from the installer on Hall Road.

If you think of yourself more knowledgeable/informative, please do enlighten us by taking a kind look at Honda genuine speakers and Pioneer speakers, their respective connectors and overall design and suggest us a good pair of after market speakers that would just fit on with a single screw on the mount without peeling the wires to make connections and above all would give you an Ear Orgasm which Honda Speakers are incapable of.

If you cant come up with such a practical suggestion, save your hypothetical claims for another discussion. TY!

Yes. To some extent mani1 is right. You feel a good bass at lower volumes only because the door isn't damped and it gets too boomy for an average listener and he says VOILA.

Try feeling the distortion at mid volume.

The following pics show honda speakers (borrowed from a PW topic). Notice the size of voice coil. Lets assume its a miniaturized magnet design with a high quality coil hidden beneath, I wonder why Pioneer and Kenwood dont think of this in their 6.5" designs.

If you have EVER bought good quality speakers they come with adapters to fit almost any car door. Any speakers you buy come with two or three adpaters designed for the few types of door mounts that are out there. there isnt a different mounting bracket for every car produced they are generic.

Then mr know-it-all you are comparing a stock speaker rated at 10-20 RMS to a high quality speaker which will OFCOURSE sound like **** powered by the headunit alone.
Im sorry but your argument is flawed in the sense your not making a fair comparison because you have no knowledge watsoever about car audio.

Mr mani is an expert when it comes to car audio and we should learn from what he is saying rather than coming up with your own theories.

I've been blatantly admitting since the beginning that I am not an audiophile/self acclaimed expert or an authority on audio like Spl. Have you ever seen me posting or guiding someone under an audio related thread?

I am just a noob owner of a car who tried to install speakers in it and ended up with ruined mounts/door panels. My intention is purely to spread the word of caution on the basis of my bitter experience, other than that I have no hidden motive or agenda.

If you have some valuable and more specific input to this thread like which speakers of a particular brand are suitable for this model of car and what brackets/adapters/connectors to be used with them who am I to disagree but if you are here just to ditch me or be judgmental I don't give a **** what you say.

I have requested Mr. Mani and I would beg you to share your experience and feedback and guide ignorant like me to which particular speakers of a brand should I go for and what size or type of brackets and adapters to use with it?

Get a touch screen DVD with reverse camera. It hepls a lot in reversing since the view for smaller objects in rear is not good. Specially for smaller children.

How much does this camera cost? And any idea where to get it in Lahore?
