to b honest,i cant judge it in my 1st drive

right now i have suzuki Mehran.so City or Corolla ll b a huge jump and rewarding upgrade for me.

so y i want sum opinion from experts/users this time.

befor my mind was for 1.3 prosmatic with navigation.cos without aspire it ll save me over 1 lakh.and in 50k near i ll get rest features of aspire (leather seats with Alloy)

but friend suggest me if auto is require then 1.5 is better (due to RPM....fuel avg......tecnical point)

so 1 side i have option of corolla.but other side i want to done my home work for City (new shape or old)

so if 1.5 vs 1.3 Fuel avg is not much then i ll preffer 1.5 now.but other side i head 1.3 annual Tokken is 6000rs vs 18000rs

Any 1.3 Auto will be a " pain" if your driving habits are normal, and if you like to do hypermiling than you can think of. Else go for at least 1.5 .

Bro, City model can be changed anytime. But if you go for corolla atleast you will not see new model till 2019. New corolla is doing very well.

If i were you i would go for corolla. Rest money is yours decision is yours.

Guys,i m fallowing this thread from last 3 month.i need sum guideline regarding purchase of City.

as i read in this thread,right now Honda delivery take 45 days for new city.and i want my car max start of september (1,2 weeks befor eid ul azha) so if u place my order till this monthend,i ll able to get my car in start or mid of sep.

i m also waiting for new shape of city.but after fallow this thread i reach at point,there is v low chance for new city.so i made my mind for this Face lift city now.but dont wana ruin my investment on old model.if new 1 coming in next 3,4 monthes.i can hold it till nov.but if its sure,not coming befor 2016 mid or even 2017 then i wana place my order for this face lift 1.

so i m totally confused.

1 of my friend advice me to get Gli or even Altis.reason is toyota new shape life is next 5 year least.but city ll b change any time in future.so it resale of old model ll b goes down. (compare to toyota)

btw toyota current deliver tiem for gli or altis is 3 to 4 monthes.so i have only choice for city (Prosmatic)

so can sum 1 confirm abt this new shape?

or i have place order for old 1?

If you want city new model then you should buy Gli M/T or A/T and whenever the new city comes, you can sell it easily with premium or may be not but it won't give you loss for sure.
On the other hand as you said that you are currently driving mehran and upgrading to corolla/city (same as my case) then I'll suggest you to go for 1300cc because after driving mehran 1300cc will be more than enough for you. It easily goes till 160-180kmph (though upper speed limit is 120kmph and you won't need more in most cases), it climbs up hills, everything that a 1600-1800cc can do. The difference is in acceleration which won't be an issue for you because 1300cc is enough as compared to 800cc.
When you buy 1300cc drive it for few years get control of it and then you can upgrade to 1600-1800cc whatever you like.
Go for Corolla, better comfort level, better ground clearance, better shape, more cabin space, more resale value etc.... as compared to city.

Bro, you can book your car from Rs.500,000/- and rest of the amount you have to pay before delivery. But for City, you have to make full payment.

I paid 500k in March at the time of booking. Now I have to pay remaining amount before 12 July. Delivery is in August.

Honda Atlas decided to skip this model. My source does not know the reason but my guess is its probably because this generation model only supports 1.5 ltr engine at the moment.

Yes thats what I thought earlier also that this model internationally is only available with 1.5 l MATED with cvti which are less chances in Pakistan

This is just Sad.

This means that the future of City is in doubt. What will happen if the next International model also has a 1.5 Engine and CVT transmission ? Will that model also not be launched ? Will Honda City be discontinued in Pakistan ?

Yes raj ke lootophir. The cartel at any cost should be abolished, Mehran has been same ever since, XLi does not even has power windows and costs 1,650,000 . Anywhere else in the globe people might not even look at such scrap in this price. Duties should be reduced by most, It will not only put inflation down, but will also raise purchasing power of people and force the local producers to put in quality and features in their products rather than looting people. Government just supports the cartel.

First of all need to make some corrections and give some further information:-

1. The current PKDM shape Honda City was offered in two countries in 1.3 only - Pakistan and Philippines (in Philippines 1.3 was offered only in base variant, most variants were 1.5)
2. Secondly City/Grace and Honda Jazz/Fit have almost similar platforms and 1.3 is already available for new gen Jazz/Fit/City platform.
3. Honda can easily fit 1.3 engine in it. It is not a big deal auto companies often alter specs to suit individual markets.

Hence, 1.5 engine is not the reason it is being not launched here. Please have a look at PAMA sales current PKDM gen CITY's highest sales so far have been recorded this year since its launch. Sales figures are climbing for the city, they are making good profit .. Honda Atlas's profits have also increased this year. ( u can verify this from their financial figures)
