Honda city 2015 vs Corolla xli2015

I am not ignoring these issues, my GLi AT had a slight alignment issue since Day 1 and it was fixed under warranty, Alhamdulillah there is no other issue with the car, people are defaming it for no reason.

I bought 10 gen corolla in 2011 and the car had gear issue 1 gear was not engaging and was making horiable noise it was repaired in warranty but the question why it happened in first place

Agreed. Never heard issue like transmission.

Frankly speaking, i will prefer Honda over Toyota. Even we have top of the models of City and Civic right now. But i still recommend XLI over City. Because, this time Toyota really have done good work with this generation.

I have several Corolla users in my circle and trust me, not even one of them had any transmission issue with even used cars.

it wasn't a complete faulty transmission but a bushes of gear stick was out of it place it took 5 min for the 3s mechanic to repair it but it if I am driving a new car out showroom I will never tolerate such issue

Exactly dude. I don't know who liked this new corolla btw. I purchased Honda City in May 2014 after doing 3 months research on each. Alhamdulillah I am very satisfied. Especially after sitting in new corolla and knowing its price :). I would recommend all of you to buy Honda City, save money and use that money for fuel for entire 2 years. So the equation is:

Price-wise comparison:

New Corolla = Honda City + 2 years free fuel

In addition to that Honda City gives you ABS and everything. Excellent road grip, acceleration (vtec engine), etc. If you have road clearance issues just change your tires to 195 size. It will cost you 10,000 rupees only. No need to install anything else. Plus its drive is excellent on carpeted roads of Lahore. Also no security problems. Honda City gives you 3 years warrantee (70,000km) where as Corolla gives only for 2 years (40,000 km). In addition to that Honda City insurance cost is 3.5% where as Corollas is 4.5% or higher. There is no ON "Premium" on Honda City where as you need to pay Rs 100,000 for Corolla. Another saving. You can use it to install Alloyrims and navigation system :).

Dear if you are willing to spend Rs 1.6 or higher then you should not be concerned with mileage. I don't understand people paying 2.6 mio for Prius and say our car makes 23 km/ltr :). You paid 10 lakh over Honda City and then you claim savings in fuel hahahah... such a stupid thing to do. Just think how much fuel you can get in 10 lakh....atleast for next 10 years if you buy Honda City. In your case you can easily save Rs 200,000 if you buy Honda City and can use this money to fuel your new car for next 2 years.

Pros:
- has abs
- has power windows
- less susceptible to theft,

Cons:
- smaller size
- quite uncomfortable
- lower re sale value
- lower quality interior plastic
- old design
- lower ground clearance (you will hit some speed breakers)

Corolla 2015 xli
Pros:
- Bigger and more spacious
- much more comfortable
- Higher re-sale value
- lower maintenance cost and availability of parts even in smaller towns.
- new latest model
- Excellent ground clearance (for our roads)

Cons:
- no power windows
- no abs
- more susceptible to theft

All day we see Honda / Toyota War. Bhai local cars have quality issues, but we have no better option..so just buy drive ...sale and get a new one and start abusing brands again. Imported ones are badly used so out of question. My new swift has door edges spots lol.. like someone used QALM or something, but since, we all have to buy these cars so lets be happy. RESALE is one funnny statement in PAKISTAN..literally. MEHRU is best car, if resale is our main concern. Car is for fun/ hobby/ requirement so enjoy it..resale kay liye bhai plot khreedain

It's just never ending war. And it gets really stupid when fanboys jumps in trying to prove each others cars having quality issues when fact of the natter is Pak Suzuki, Indus motor, or the Atlas Honda they all are pretty below par as compared to the quality that they are giving in other continents.
Fact of the matter is other countries do have law when a brand comes in and start a making vehicles they government in those countries tell them to sign terms and conditions to offer strict safety requirements and crash tests.
I have no idea if any of the rollas or chondas locally been made pass these tests, mehran a side.
But you did say that imports are out of question as they are badly used. Well I was thinking like how badly a same year auctioned vehicle driven 10k km could have been used.
I prefer the imports, and people should do too. Want a civic or a rolla just import one being same year model how hard can it be.
Fact is, those vehicles are far more above in make quality than the ones we are getting being locally made.

first of I am not a fanboy of any brand I like to talk on fact you can see in very first post I list city issue and xli then suggested city if ppl stop buying such sub standard car the manufacturer will do something to save sell just like honda decreased the price of crz and suzuki decreased the price of wagon r by importing vehicle we doing nothing but hurting our own economy we still go to indus/altas 3s with our imported vehicle so even buying imported vehicle is not a good option for a change

There is a rumor about price reduction of Aspire 2013 model. see the following post on pakwheels

If it is true in my personal opinion this is a much better deal compared to the XLI. There is not much difference in Aspire face lift model and even it did not have fog lights as advertised before. I feel front bumper is also ugly in new model. If we come to the comparison with XLI new one is even better than city in features but it is difficult to drive in busy roads and narrow turns. City has little better control in bumper to bumper traffic.

I was also HONDA fan since the release of TOYOTA 2015 model. If I plan to change my 2013 ASPIRE, I would definitely go for GLI 2015. But in your case you seems to be very much confused between HONDA and TOYOTA cars, A PRIUS can give the combine luxury of both cars.

I think you should go with Honda City but if you can afford than buy GLI instead of XLI because XLI lacks in many important modern day features.
