Will you please kindly share with me your experience or any guidance from where you get it replace and in how much. or how you learn to identify between genuine or copy?

I hope you are doing well and sorry for the late response as I wasnt active here.

The authentic one costs about 35K and OEM is about 18K. However, everyone even outside car garages advised me to go for the authentic one as not to take risk on it. They even mentioned they can get it 18K one in about 15K but still we'll recommend to go for the authentic.

If you dont wanna pay the sales tax and labour. I'll suggest you to contact your insurance company. They do have the list with them who have the authentic honda ones. You'd save on that side.

Which city are you in? I can guide you better.

Shittt ! That's alot. I went to Honda Drive In, Karachi. They quoted 35K in total and I had to pay about 17K due to depreciation.

I had insurance too, I think that's why they overcharged me, cuz they knew insurance would have to pay it regardless.

first of all thank you for your reply, I am from lahore bro. Yes it is true, every bro advised to go with the genuine so i decided to go with the genuine one and will replace it Insha'Allah starting of next month.
Honda fort me quoted 30k for the screen 4500 labor and around 1400 molding.

how is experience, is it really original, i'm worried about quality of installations, any problem after replacement ? leakages etc.

Experience was good. You have to leave the car at the workshop for a few days though. I had it installed last year in june-July, and so far there haven't been any problems.

hi there , my name is Talha mehmood , recently the front window on my Honda BRV got cracked and i am trying to replace it my car is under insurance and i have to take it to Honda 3s dealer in Mardan kpk . they have quoted me 43k for the windsheild and 5k labour charges , my question is that will the new screen fit properly or whether their will be visible changes as copared to the factory installed screen , what precautions should i take ?

Hi Talha,

Have you dealt with this dealership before? How has your experience been?

If it's been positive, go ahead and have them replace your front windshield. Only thing to look out for is to ensure they apply new molding and do not reuse the old one.

If a genuine windshield is used, you shouldn't be able to tell a difference. Good luck!

@pwuser155091178738 brother i am in the same shoes as you are. Vehicle is honda city 2017 model and not insured. Honda is asking for almost 60k including installation. Any suggestions?? Market has alot of options starting from 10k to 23k.
And can you please tell that which silicone or adhesive honda used on your replacement of screen? Thanks.
