I guess so because due to increasing number of electric vehicles coupled with fuel prices. Smaller turbo charged engine are way to go.

It's very unfortunate that honda which was once a very technologically advanced company even in Pakistan be it cruise control or all wheel disc brakes or even airbags is now in its worst times by not introducing a new shape. Let alone it's not even interested in adding safety features like airbags in a car which costs north to 30 lac rupees.

L15b7 Requires HOBC from a good pump. Will knock on super or hobc from any shady pump. And it is a 1.5L engine compared to the 1.0L in the city. Smaller displacement with a turbo = higher chance of knocking.

And city has a different consumer segment vs the civic. I don't see city owners using hobc regularly or driving long distances to find a reputable fuel station. It just won't work

its different now. First, its used to be same car then Honda launched sedan version of it.

It is officially the 5th gen City. I like the overall design but i would have tweaked the front slightly and i hope Honda india does that. They did that with the 4th gen facelift. I saw the US and Middle East/ Asia versions of the new Corolla and it;s a dud in my opinion, The City looks much better on paper and i hope in the flesh too. I will post pics once it is launched in India in March 2020. You guys should pressure Honda to launch this car in your market too,

just for comparison i think the new Corolla disappoints especially the Middle east/asia version

Well...technically I saw a walk-around at first it looked good..but in second glance I said what the hell...it just looked like they mixed the fifth gen and sixth gen city into one....there is no huge leap forward...if you look at fifth gen available in pakistan closely the body lines and front looked exactly copied from there....plus there is no huge leap in engine technology too...technically what you will be getting in India will be a facelift of the third gen city...have a nice day..

It is a smaller car so all the bigger sibling features from accord and civic in this car will take some time getting used to seeing on the road, however the eyesore rear end of honda grace has been eased out a bit IMO as far as this model goes

Yes but the point is we usually expect this from Suzuki. be it First Gen Cultus, Mehran or Swift but not with Honda which usually don't miss any generation as far as their cars are concerns.

For example Civic or even Imported Accord however as far as City is concerned things seem to be in opposite and even they are not bothered to add any features whatsoever which are very important.

Doubt it's coming anytime soon and even if it's I doubt we're getting the turbo with the fuel we've, most probably going to soldier on with the current engines.

Officially there are only 4 gen of City cars upto now , Extreme left of pic below is 4th gen City prefacelift model sold in india since 2014,

in pic below is 5th gen City just unveiled in Thailand undergoing testing in India for March 2020 launch or therabout.

1.0 Turbo will surely be launched. With the increased taxes, this will be ideal combination of power and economy.

I have strong feeling that we will get this shape next year as assembly line is already tuned for Civic X production.
