Honda City Aspire 1.3 Mileage Problem

Winters mey only 9 Kmpl?? There has to be something wrong with your car. Why did they change the transmission oil and brake pads at 25K? Is it a manual car? The brakes last at least 40K minimum.

No Honda city under 50K driven gives less than 10-12 kmpl. Go to honda again, tell them to check and recheck everything. You may need to spend some money. What is the model?

Model is 2013 .. its an automatic transmission .. they said that the brake pads are after market ones ..so u should better change them to original ones ..thats why they changed the brake pads .

I told that guy in white uniform in honda that i'm getting a mileage of 8km/L in winters . He said that its ok to get this mileage .. if u want 10..11 km/L then u should keep RPM's under 1.5 .. how can one keep RPM's under 1.5 ??????as this car sometimes feels underpowerd ..

he is always getting like 20kml in city
with ac 17kml
but it is manual trans

So its an automatic transmission. Your best average should be around 10-12 kmpl. The brakes are used more in an auto so thats why they changed it. Always use genuine honda parts, esp brakes. If its a 1.3 automatic then the car is going to be very underpowered, esp with Ac on. My best bet after all the honda clean ups etc would be no more than 8 kmpl with AC. Next time dont buy a 1.3 auto. Go for 1.5 Aspire.

My car is giving me no more than 7.3 Km/L, what can be the problem ?? Or its normal ?? At least it should give me 10 - 11 km/L as i always try to keep RPM's under 2 to 2.5 .. i dont believe in the readings given on screen so i calculated it manually .. i always refill when the car shows reserved yellow light.. it always refill with 30 litres and it gives me range of around 220km untill the yellow light again shows up..

Tyre size (195/65R15) as the stock tire size has worst eoad grip

Alloy Rims: Stock aspire rims

Tyre pressure (32Psi in front .. 30Psi in rear ) as per written on car door

Engine oil: castrol 5w30 fully synthetic (recently changed)

Oil filter: original honda (recently changed)

Air filter: Original honda (recently changed)

AC cabin filter: Original Honda (recently changed)

Coolant: honda type 2 (Recently Changed)

I always drive with Ac ON on 2..3 fan speed.

In start my milage was also 13-14 on long route. And now getting as per attached image but with lite foot only and speed at max 90.... otherwise 80.. my traveling is about 200km one side.. and if i drive at 80-90 it took almost 3h30min and if i drive rash it takes 3H15min... meams no major difference. So drive peacefully to make yourself relax and fuel efficient as well.

he either lies
or does not reply
reality is, it sucks

even with little tweaks you wld get slight improvement

1.5 for auto
for manual 1.3 is perfectly fine

prior research before buying a car is useful

probably this is y the previous guy sold a almost brand new car

Before 25k km the brake pads has been changed already by the previous owner, so it means that either that owner was a race car driver who braked frequently or that the car has done about 60k+ km and even the aftermarket brake pads had worn out! Meter reversal is not such a big job nowadays, I think.

If the car has done excessive mileage since 2013 with engine parts worn out then it is possible that you may get bad mileage. If you personally know the previous owner then maybe you can ask for his opinion but if you have bought the car from a stranger then it is a bit difficult to gauge what type of maintenance he had done on the car and whether the odometer mileage is true or not.

Best solution would be to get a thorough check up from Honda (including engine condition) and then thinking of a way ahead.

For an automatic car, 25k is sufficient life of brake pads. Some people brake really hard to stop the car.
In case of manuals, it's normally 40-60k kms.

Next time calculate using tank to tank method. This on board calculator is pretty useless on long routes. 19.9 kmpl is too good to be true.

You shouldn't. On board mileage calculator has lots of variations.
Always calculate using tank to tank method.

@op In a city like Islamabad where roads are wide open and traffic is streamlined, almost every car manages to return some considerable mileage figures.
Automatic 1.3 city does around 11-12 kmpl with air con.
Whereas MT 1.3 manages around 14-15 kmpl.

I have a 2016 1.3 auto on 195/65/15 tires. Just went to lahore on gt road stayed there for three days. did ~200KM city drive in Lahore and came back to Islamabad via motorway averaging 100kph max 125kph. drove a couple of days in Islamabad AC on all the time while idling and driving. total fuel consumed for this trip
~62 liters and total distance traveled 839 KM averaging 13.5

No that guy got a new model of 1.3 aspire prosmatec from the company where he works thats why he sold this .. and i know the owner of that company personally .. but when i bought this car i did'nt know the name of the company owner .. later i found out
