Honda City facelift 2017 revealed

This is the 5th gen facelift modulo grill. When they made the modulo kit available for the 5th gen facelift, the grill wasn't part of it.

I guess this goes into their long term plan, the grill was intentionally not offered with the modulo package, so they can wow everyone with a new grill later on.

I don't know why you are saying the sixth gen city is an ugly car...it does not look something extraordinary but it is not bad... Looks are very subjective. The sixth generation city is way ahead of the fifth gen in a lot of aspects - engine technology, fuel economy, safety, cvt transmission, comfort/leg room, etc. It is selling very well in India and South East Asian countries. A newer model does not mean only a cosmetic change.

To say that Pakistan should not get a newer modern model is not really fair. Models in Pakistan should be offered in line with international market. By that logic it is fine to remain stuck on obsolete decades old models like Mehran, Bolan, Ravi, Swift, etc if their successors don't appear visually appealing to some people. Sure the fifth gen city is a good car but 8 years is more than enough for one model.

Generally in Pakistan we tend not accept something new easily. I hope this changes and our auto lineup is modernized.

Yes looks are very subjective...i personally dont like the sides of the sixth generation ..they look accidented...but you might have your own opinion..... but what new engine technology are they offering....i checked the sixth generation honda city....it has the same engine technology and everything else.....the only difference is that honda city all over the world is now being offered in the 1.5l variant only....whereas here we are stuck with the 1.3l variant....and yes cars over here are way overpriced than in india or anywhere in the world.....

Earlier navigation was for aspire or you have to pay extra 50k for it, are they offering navigation to every version of city or still for selected models? And i came to know that 20k price has been increased and on the day of booking i have already paid 40k tax as a non filer!
what is the source of information on 30 or 80k?

The city i heard is now being offered in 1339cc engine....which is more than 1300cc....so it moves it to the next tax slab....filer you have to pay 50,000 non filer 100,000......it is still not confirmed though....i will be in a better state to comment on it tomorrow....

It seems that Honda was hiding the original displacement of their 1.3 engine to save the taxes, this engine L13Z1 is actually 1339cc and should fall under the higher tax slab, hence with this face-lift they are showing the accurate displacement.

Making a video out of few still images doesnot confirm anything . Plus all the new cars that are test driven by Honda atlas get registered computerised number plates . Somebody used photoshop .maybe the new Honda city is coming but this video of still images has no authenticity in my eyes

this is the same engine nothing change in engine displacement or extra money is for immobilizer

well...my info is pretty authentic....dealers here is islamabad have told me to visit 2morrow to see the cars.....they said that they the cars even now....but they have to clean them up for display.....I cant say anything about lahore though....
