Thank you bro...............JazakAllah......very sorry to hear about your ride............remember at any large event............park far away from the crowd...............even miles away if you have to...........if you can avoid such places...............or if you wish to go extreme, either find the last petrol pump, park your car there an pay the guard to keep watch over it an use public transport to cover the remaining distance......thats what I usually do for the Ijtema in Raiwind!

guy the Power Steering of my iDSI gave up today

it was working fine i had to stop for something so i parked the car and left it running since my friend was sitting in and to avoid towing

when i came back the steering was very very hard i managed to get the car home but what could be the problem?

gonna take it to Honda and see whats wht since it seems very strange

Thank you everyone for the compliment unfortunately i had a really bad day at Wagha border . Gari ke saath itni buri hui ke bhula nahi sak raha. Firstly lathi charge ke waga se log bhage or front wing mein bohat bura dent aa gya and rangers ne bohat se lathiyaan gari par barsai haleke humari paindo awam ki ghalti thi aur saza humein bhugadni pari and then unhoon ne lathi ke zoor par humein service lane mein dal diya aur phir poori gari neeche se lagi Feel really sorry for my beauty though i was telling my bro who had just arrived from Uk and wanted to go to Wagha that it is not reasonable to take this car to Wagha on 14th par chote ki kaun sunta hai ?
I will upload the pics of the dent I had the waxed it today morning (poori raat nahi soya aur 6 baje gari par mehnat ki ) and posted the pics and till the night it is really bad shape I hope neeche se damage nahi hua

Is the yellow steering light on in the meter cluster?? Its on the extreme right...secondly check the air pressure in the tyres.....

I am not that expert but to rule out the possibillilty of blown fuse, check fuse no 2,3 under hood & no 3 under dash fuse.
Do u see the EPS light when switch is turned on before ignation.

Yep! har banda paghal hua hua tha but Allah ka shukar hai ke dent sahi ho gya hai there was absolutely no damage to the paint and halake sa haath marne se hi dent nikal gya par neeche raghar re nishan hain aur front bumper par shote shote nishan hain rickshaw walon ki. Lathiyaan to kaafi pari thi gari ko lekin Shukar hai koi sheeshaw nahi toota:)

The car is fine now. Dent was repaired just by a push from the inside. From the underside there is a minor white scratch of the footpath had to cross because of the consequences. There are no scratches because of the lathi charge Allah ka shukar hai

Ahmed - what is the realistic fuel consumption of an idsi on CNG and petrol both on highway as well as local.

I read the bit about 26.2, which is exceptional, but I'm sure the daily driving figures would be different.

Also please mention what should the rough price of a 2003-4 idsi in great condition.

CNG:-
Local- 130-145km with a/c (lower end of range with a/c and higher without a/c)
Highway- 150-180km without and sometimes even with a/c.depending on speed, weight and heavy/light foot.
PETROL:-
Local- havent driven my car for long on petrol for quite some time, last time it used to do around 14km/ltr
Highway- Max i ve ever achieved (not optimum conditions) was 18.125km/ltr

2003-04 idsi in excellent condition can range upto 8.5lakh PKR.

That's impossible... I got my swift registered in 45k... Not to forget that swift has bigger engine that city i.e. 1328cc and comes under the category of 1500 cc car...

bro even 1328cc is counted as 1300cc.and the cost of registration was increase by 10k in this budget i guess.plus the cost of plates n small other things etc etc.

i think you should get the fuel filter of your car changed.its life is 40,000kms and hardly anyone gets it changed so i dont think the previous owner did too!

Sir aab yeh to mazaydari ki baat hai keh I use my sleeping time for the cars cleaning.........except for a couple of times in life I have used my own personal time for my relaxing to do my car..................I have a very normal life other than when Im with my car....I have a 9 to 6 job, 6 days a week, a little girl whos going to school an a boy who is around 2 years old....an I cater to them very well, alida baat hai they dirty the car up sooo much.....then parents, wife, in-laws, friends.......I give time to each.................if you check the car care detailing thread, youll realize kinay junooni higay aan assi..............lekin if you neglect yer core resp to it`s no good! JazakAllah!

excellent yaarr.... great to see such a nicely maintained car in cool red color they are very rare.u ve got a few scratches here n there.i would say get small quantity of OEM cool red paint in a small jar n by using a paint brush, apply the paint to the scratches.Honda guys can do that for u too, they ll charge u some amount.that way u ll have a scratchless car without any repaints.

oh! very sad to know that its verry veryyy hard to digest something like that done to ones beloved nice n clean car! i hope the damage is not much as is easily repairable!
btw, try to park ur car as far from crowd as u can.last night i was out with friends on my city for celebrations of 14th, i parked my car around 200 meters away from all the crowd and also left the parking lights ON so that i can see it from a distance.
but still, u never know! **** happens!!

Thanks for the compliment ! Yes i know abt that doing that has been pending from a long time have to get the paint matched to apply it as a kalam. The damage will be repaired by suction hopefully when we push it from the inside it comes out but the grooves on the front fender need a bit reshaping jab us par choti hammer pari gi to line shape mein ajai gi aur phir ander nahi jye gi. i'll attach a pic for reference

If the yellow light of EPS is ON, there is certainly something wrong with it.
a lot of things can cause that.
it can be as simple as a dirty EPS plug/socket/clip sort of thing which is underneath ur car located somewhere in steering rack (this happened to my car too) and at its worse it can be a blown EPS motor (GOD forbid).
in between the both, it can be a fuse or some wiring short issue too.

now, u have to take it to a good mechanic first.a mechanic who has the diagnostic tool for EPS too.he ll hook up the device to the EPS and will read the error.the error will pin point where the error is.

in my case, it was the clip thing.
my mechanic first cleared the error codes from the EPS and told me to test it for some time.it stopped working again after some time. (mine used to work on its own will so it was confirm that motor isnt dead). then he cleaned the clip but the problem was still not gone.
eventually,he opened it again and did something to the clip, may be it was loose or broken, after that, the EPS never stopped working and its been around a year now.
I hope its something minor in your case too.u can check the fuses urself.the fuse box is located near the right shock absorber in the engine bay, open it and check the EPS fuses.
unhood ur battery terminals for 30min and then put them back n see if it helps (this might help because this will erase the error code in the EPS)

as ur car has done 6000kms only, it will give relatively lesser fuel economy compared to a car that has done more then 10,000kms.you should be looking at around 15km/ltr for now.this figure should rise upto 18km/ltr + easily after u ve crossed the 10,000kms mark!
