Honda guys said that they are repaired they are in working condition... They advised to get them changed so that they are totally in working condition... The car gives no jerks at alll (H)

unless ur engine is working fine, u dont need new ignition coils! Period!

but yes if u want, u can change them right now as they will certainly give up after a few thousand kilometers... may be 5000 or even 20000kms! depending on how much they ve done already!

I hear squeaking noise when I turn steering wheel..it is usually audible in extremely low speed..and it is only audible inside the cabin..sound is like plastic rubbing together..

car: city 2006..what could be the reason?

probably the sound of "cut bushes" ... there are 2 cut bushes in front suspension of 2006 city. n they arent expensive at all... u can get 2 of them for 400rs from open market.but labour would be more than that as its not a very easy job...

Well, Honda might retain 1.3L engine for its new City and introduce 1.5L version just to compete with the Toyota 1.6L category.

thanks for sharing that article bro... i read that back in late 2008 before the new city was launched and i was surprised at howw much attention to detail is give even for a small 1.3l engine! i would say this is the most technologically advanced 1.3l engine in Pakistan!

soo... u ve missed a few dozen pages, there has been a lot! a Honda city owners meet in lahore which i joined too. then a second one with more members.then a lot of members went to @vauge_one (usman bhai) for getting their cars detailed... polished waxed etc etc what not Usman bhai is our doctor detail now giving his valuable opinions to everyone...

i still have the same car, u can go back 2-3 pages to see the pictures. recently uploaded some good quality pix. also touched 200,000kms mark few months ago Mashallah City is doing really nice..

Well there is a bad news. I got my new honda city 2011 by the end of last month from Honda Shahrah-e-Faisal and today i noticed that the inner structure of the bonnet is not properly wielded with the bonnet. Once i went to the honda center there i found that every new car has the same problem. I checked with three persons who came to collect their cars and all have the same problem. I also checked the vehicles parked in the center for delivery and all have the same problem. First the honda guys were very sluggish to take my problem seriously but they found out that every car has the same problem then they contacted the company in lahore. My advice to all the honda city owner who got their cars in 2011 and especially during last month or so plz check ur bonnets and see that the inner structure (frame) of the bonnet is properly wielded with the bonnet.

Brother thats not a problem at all... even my 2006 city idsi bonnet frame is not welded.why exactly do u want it to be welded to the bonnet? instead of welds, there is a soft rubber type thing that cushions the frame against the bonnet surface.
The reason there is a gap between the frame and the bonnet sheet is a good one,consider this..
someone driving a city hits a pedestrian n his head strikes the bonnet.now, if the bonnet is hard (i.e. frame is welded to the sheet) the guys head would open like a boiled egg, this distance in frame and bonnet infact absorbs the energy! also note that there is a lot of distance between the top of the engine and the ceiling (inside) of the bonnet, that is also done for the same reason.
(All of this is not just my guess, i read it long ago in some Honda related article)

The frame is never welded to the bonnet. It has some rubber spacers type of thing in between.

To me the following things are different

1. Head lights
2. Back lights
3. Indicator on fender
4. Change in front chrome grill 2004 has 1 strip whereas 2006 has 3 strips
5. When you open the bonnet of 2004 and 2006 you will notice that 2006 has its bonnet extended further that 2004
6. Back bumper is also changed 2004 has a lower ending bumper resulting in exhaust pointing downwards whereas 2006 has straight pointing exhaust
7. In the front panel the color of strip on AC controls is different than in 2004

the 2006 city idsi is actually 8 centimeter longer and its nose is 1 centimeter higher then the 03 shape idsi.
rest, door and seats fabric is different. EPS indicator light is different.In 2003 shape and indicator saying EPS glows in the speedometer while in 2006, an icon representing ur steering wheel lights up without any alphabets.

For 950k, u can easily find a very good conditon 2006-07 city idsi.
