well, i dont drive like dogs and mine never had an accident too but still had to get new suspension well, i dont think suspension can be fine for ever... my car is driven a LOT but not like rented cars... the main suspension killer was the under construction road from sargodha to johrabad. we have business there and had to travel to JRB almost twice a week, though it was driven at 20-30km/h all the way and it took more then 2hrs for this 50kms journey, still, the road took its toll on the suspension.

and yes i ll get time out for my car, i always do but just barely

And bro, I remember that filthy road. it had been there for continuous five years. The road spoiled my dad's 2007 i-VTEC prosmatec bcz he used to go to lahore on it in those days. probably 10 or 12 times a month.

As for my iDSI, she has been driven in Islamabad and rwp till 165k kms and now with us in mwi since 2008. It was treated like dogs by some drivers but the fact is that the dog treatment couldn't always be avoided. but still, She rocks in the little mianwali city.

Not much people over here have a passion for honda city but ours has become an inspiration of more than 15 people (many others whom I can't remember) who sold their rollas and bought the new city just that ours had been driven like almost 200k and still beats the rolla at everything: Luxury, comfort, the feel of a well built thing ( quoting ur words ), performance, economy etc etc.

And Thank u.. My mamoon is safe alhamdolillah and the guard was just hit by a single 12 gauge pallet in the knee. He is a good experienced shooter which Thank God saved both of their lives and the attacker got himself killed by the return fire... Anyhow, long story, this is Pakistan...

Everyday u live safe and sound calls for nawafill to Allah Paak.

MashaAllah the ride have got awesome driving experience and smooth acceleration , I am pretty satisfied with the purchase and Thanks God I didn't bought any Rolla , on my City I'm currently getting 12km/ltr in city (displayed on min-lcd panel), and I've heard that this average will increase after first oil change ?

Bro, many congrats on ur new purchase. Simply awesome Ma'Shallah. InshAllah u will feel pleased on ur choice even after ten years of having it.

bro, for ur wishlist, my suggestions for you, numberwise:

1) rims, ahem, I think u should go for 16" in 205/60/R16 size. Tires u can get any good brand like yokhama advan dB v551,maxxis MaZ1 victra, bridgestone my01 sports tourer, dunlop lemans lm702 etc etc.

But do stick with soft tyres and never go for low profiles as city has a very rock hard suspension and city driving would seem like hell with every pebble under the tyre coming like a loud THUD...

I have yokohama advan db v551 on my 2011 city and I am very very satisfied. they are soft as well as supersilent. u can't hear road noise even at 150kmh.

2) Bro, go for a simple keyless entry. They will install only one motor in ur driver side door, one speaker and one unit. it isn't that warranty voiding at all.

but always go for good quality stuff as u will always have to bug ur car whenever it fails.

tracker, umm, ur own choice, though recommended in lahore. :S

3) No idea but u should go for black hand stitched leather seat work. Bit expensive but always worth it.

4) HIDs, never. they will spoil ur vision and blind the on coming traffic as well because city has single headlight system.

instead, u can always opt for high quality halogens like osram nightbreakers etc.

I am way too satisfied with the stock lights so no HIDS.

5) mileage... yes, it will improve very much after ur first oil change. Mine gave me 23 kmpl in its very first highway long drive.

only 1 thing can solve ur issue... high octane fuel... get atleast 50:50 ratio of high octane and simple petrol ratio. City's compression ratio is 10.1 and thats on the higher side, thats why u need higher octane fuel for it...

thanks for the reply ahmadbila .. actually knocking is too much for petrol octane problem. it looks like as if my car been advanced too much . as there was cng in it when i bought it with no advancer .. is it possible to advance its timming somhow manually?

Mashallah beautiful... new city always look good in black color...
i'd like to suggest u the following...

1) any nice alloys with 195 tread width tires. its recommended to stick to the stock rim size which is 15, as suspension of city is already a bit on the harder side.
2) I always prefer insurance over tracker. the reason is, first, jammers are available easily to jam the tracker and if sumone tell u that THIS is the latest traker and no jammer can jam it, well, its only about time, hardly a few months that upgraded jammers will also surface the market. secondly, insurance also helps if (God forbid) u car is hit sumwhere, be it a minor scratch or sumthing worse.u get that covered.
3) any good seatcovers that u like, i prefer cloth over rexene/leather because of hot weather
4) do NOT go for HID... if u want to improve the vision, get narva bulbs or sum other good halogen bulbs, as suggested by BIG MAMA

I hope u enjoy every mile that u drive in this car as for the mileage, yes, it will increase and will reach the optimum level when the odometer reading touches 10,000kms mark.

oh! thats bad! u really need to get an advancer installed so that the timing would be back to normal when u switch ur car to petrol. i'd say get it!

and use high octane too... once, my car used to do sooo much knocking that people in other cars nearby could hear it if i push the car hard... high octane solved the problem completely...

yeah that road really spoiled a lot of cars but the good thing is that its completed now and it hardly takes 30mins to reach khushab from sargodha other then that, almost all roads in sargodha were improved 2-3 years ago so now a days there is no burden on the (newly installed) suspension of my car

im glad you changed minds of many people about city, sargodha is also a small city and until a few years ago , people used to shy away from hondas but now its different.i ve myself advised many people around me to get citys and they are quite satisfied.one of them even sold his corolla before taking his delivery of xli back in 2007 when he had a test drive of my idsi its a perfect car, the only not-so-good thing is the engine power. which is enough for local and highway driving but not really enough for climbing hills if u have passengers and luggage. but its a great package over all...

Its good to know that the attacker got what he deserved! these people dont even deserve to be called human beings and shud be hanged to death on roads! Hats off to the guard for the brave act...

and yes u ll see pix of 1451 soon, i ll be getting its headlights buffed tomorrow will post detailed pix of the process...

dear do u want me to install advancer in petrol also.. so that it also function while its in petrol? as i had advancer too stap 78 LR but knocking was there now i have disconnected CNG system completely. still there is knocking .. can it be because of electric or electronic prob? knock sensor is also working properly

oh, so you ve got the CNG disconnected. u dont need any advancer then. the only thing i can suggest u do is to get a tank full of high octane from a well reputed petrol pump and see if the knocking goes away slowly... im not an expert about knocking issues but as far as i know, it is caused only because the fuel in a cylinder burns before its suppose to burn, that means it burns in compression stroke even before the compression is complete and the piston hasnt reach the top dead center yet... there can only be two reasons (that i know) which can cause this.

1) Lower octane fuel - Lower octane fuel burns at lower tempratures, thats why when the cylinder is going up and is compressing the fuel air mixture, a certain temprature is reached and the fuel ignites...

2) The spark plug fires before its supposed to. that can be caused by advanced timing.

Now, either or both could be wrong with ur car. the first one is almost obviously there, atleast. and i dont know if the timing can be advaced without putting an advancer in an efi car so i cant say if it can be the cause of knocking or not... higher octane fuel is the first thing u shud get for ur car...

i couldnt get time to get the brake service done on my car... HOWEVER... i did get the headlight buff job done and they look awesome now! also got a few other small things done... took pix all the way through the process but didnt take pix after final fitting because the car is tooooo dirty... i ll get it serviced in the morning and will post the BLING BLING lights photos then

btw, whats wrong with ur lights? why do u wanna get em buffed? i didnt get the lights seperated (i.e the lens taken off of the crystal element) because the problem was only with the exterior or the plastic lens or cover.
and for the rear light, i'd suggest u to get a used one, u ll get one as good as new for less then half the price of Honda guys...
