Aight, boyses, finally got the rims on, the "under the hod" is still going on, so no pics for that...some comparison shots, an before I forget, the car is nearly fully raised on its coilovers adjustment....so itll be going lower than what it is currently. Attaching some comparative shots with another city on stock 13s parked next to me at the clinic, a view of the coil adjustment, and lastly a lil shot of it with my mehran for a lil height comparison, for Aamir bhai an Bila Bhai, a final AAMIR SHOT!

Brothers i have recently purchased honda city 2007 model with 85000 done. The day i bought it was well not 100% but i would say 90% ok and i was new to automatic transmission so didn't had that much of an idea of the transmission.
Well it all started when i have to go to lahore on this car.

To cut to the case there is what had happened:
When i stopped at the toll plaza the car kindda revs a little (not that much) and then when i started again it just simply didn't go and the rpm meter was moving but the car was still. Then came a jerk and it started to roll and then everything was normal until i had to brake again at a traffic signal. The same thing happened and the car gets on after a jerk when in 'D' mode.
I felt like the car dis-engages itself every time it stands still on 'D' so for time-being i put the transmission to neutral when i came to a complete stop.
After some days i have to go to Islamabad and i did 120-135kph during the journey. It all well ok (with me shifting to 'N' at complete stops) until i stopped at motorway toll plaza the return trip from isb-fsd. There the 'D' starts blinking and no when i shifted from 'N' to 'D' it kept blinking and the car hardly creeps itself out of the toll plaza premises and then i shut it down and restarts it again. Then every thing came back to normal.
Next day i went to a mechanic from which the previous owner had installed the cng and that mechanic asked me if i had driven it above 90kph and then he said that the CVT pulley aka GEAR of the car is ruined and i should not have driven it above 90kph.
He told me to get a complete new gear from honda and according to him whole thing would cost about 0.15 million.
Then when i insist the tuned up the engine changed the plugs and filters etc but he still was of the point that i should get the new gear and after that this jerks on cng would end.
Now the jerky start has reduced by about 75% but i am very perplexed what should i actually do?
Please help!

Brother, you have CVT gearbox and its not suitable to use CNG on it. I have heard people saying that it destroys CVT within a few days.

You have bought it from some other person. The very first thing you should do is to change its CVT gear oil. It costs around Rs.4500/= for 4 Litres Honda Genuine Oil. Please bear in mind that only use Honda CVT Oil and buy it from Honda Spare Parts Outlet. I have seen a few other versions of CVT, one is quoted as imported from Netherlands, and other one from Thailand. Its a little cheaper but you should buy Honda Genuine.

Blinking of D means there is serious problem with CVT gear. Every good auto workshop have ECU reader for diagnostics purpose. Get it checked over there.

But I think before doing anything else, do change the gear oil and see the results if it has changed some behaviour.

Is there any benifit of buying a second hand car from honda fort which is "honda certified" what does that actually mean? does this mean it is certified by honda or honda fort.

i am looking for a 2011 or 10 city in good condition, and i saw there add on PW.

What do you want only mirror,if its only mirror than you wont find it new you have to buy new mirror and get it cutted to the size and fitted. Other option is searching in old spare market shershah. If you want anything more than just the mirror like outer frame, motor etc than you can find complete unit from shershah. I dont know about prices from shershah but if you get a desi mirror cutted to the shape it should cost you 150-200rs.

Can some one please recommend me a good quality oil for my 2012CityMT, and a good place in Lahore. (pref. around the model town, Gulberg, Cantt area.) I am debating between synthetic and non synthetic. What do you guys prefer and have the best results to which you seem satisfied with.

thats a sad bad story i would die if my car behaves like this. i dont have any technical advice for u excpet one that get it checked from Honda at least once before doing anything else. all the best bro

Only one option go to shershah or some place where insurance walay sell these parts I dont know where but you have to search.

Hhas anyone tried to install retractable side view mirrors in Honda city 2009-12? I think its quite possible but I've yet to see or hear about it here on pakwheels or anywhere else.
Also, can we get an after market high mounted brake light for Honda city 2009-12???
