well bro, not an expert with coolant but i wud say honda OEM coolant shud do quite well. see if u can get that one.

how do u plan on changing the coolant? when i did it, i used a very stupid method of doing it i.e. opening the clamp of hose pipe, starting the car for a few seconds to push the water out n refill the coolant.

however, just a day or two ago, i was lying under my car, working on something, n i think i saw a radiator discharge pipe at the bottom of the radiator. it was on the back of the radiator (the side facing engine) almost in front of the place where the engine meets the gearbox. a small plastic cap/cork sort of thing which can be screwed out to let the water out. try to do it this way. n rinse the radiator thoroughly before u pour in the new coolant. ratio of coolant n water is recommended to be kept at 50:50 but i like to keep coolant at 60: and water at 40: because u DO have to add water into the reserve tank from time to time n that way, the fluid gets too dilute if u dont put more coolant than water.

thanks :)honda oem is easily available but its a little expensive and i need a premixed 50:50 solution as measuring them and mixing them will be quiet difficult and there is discharge plug type plastic thingy under the radiator.will flush the present coolant through there and pour the new one and what if i pour the same coolant in the reserve tank i mean no water ?

zic coolant comes already prepared in the ratio of 50:50
i asked him what if water reduces though coolants hardly get less,he said then dont pour water n instead keep one extra bottle for that

Finally i found those little Machar Bulbs:) Honda 3S dealers were asking 300 - 350 rs:o for a bulb and holder but I bought 6 Bulbs for 18 rs:P and replace the faulty one and save 5 for rainy days:P If anyone want this machar bulb can get it from me, the faulty bulb is at right side!

I have bought liqui moly anti freeze. One litre bottle with 1:1 ratio costs 370rs. I bought 3 liters and 1 liter for water. As per recommended by liqui moly temperature table.

The drain plug under radiator will only flush water from radiator and not from engine block(04-08 city dont know abt above models).
u have to unscrew a big bolt on front of engine. (My thinking)
Well i also did a stupid way of filling the radiator as i could not open that bolt. So i drained a bit of radiator and Poured concentrated toyota coolant in radiator and rest of the bottle in reserve tank.

Over the time i have changed some radiator hose pipes. The fat pipe below is heater pipe and it got swelled. Its double pipe.
The thin one is for warming up the throttle body and in last summer i replaced it.

Same I did to my city IDSI 2006. The stupid mechanic drained a bit of radiator & poured toyota coolant & the remaining in the reservoir.

was in 4.5 grade, lhr registered, original 70,000kms done.
Excellent drive and economy. giving me 15 kms/l in city with moderate foot :):)

Its mileage is 67k and run through out on petrol.. I bought it few month back from 1st owner(used by company executive) so overall car is in excellent condition but it from past week it gives a jerk when rpm is in between 1-2k and this jerk which was first consisted of one wave(for a week).now it produce jerk waves of 2-3 times at lower rpm and speed.
At speed>20 I don't feel any jerk when its between 1-2k rpm but at lower speed jerks are noticeable.

What is the possible cause and its remedy?

P.S I don't know whether owner changed its transmission oil or not.

i am experiencing almost the same problem.. only difference is car is manual and it produces minute jerk wave between 1.5 - 1.8k rpm. in higher gears only the driver can feel it but at low speed it is quite noticeable... and the same behaviour on cng and petrol.

In August 2012 i adjusted the tappets they were loose after that i feel car hesitates on acceleration but it only happens between the rpm of 1.5 - 2k. i get it tunned many times and honda dealership said its fuel pump is faulty...but the problem is both on cng n petrol ... then i readjusted the tappets.. now they r again free/ loose.. but jerks are there ... experts plz shed some light ..
