Since I have the car, NEVER for tapper adjustment. NO CNG btw so didnt need to. IDSI doesnt need tappets setting if I am correct or does it? o_O

Every car requires tappet adjustment and recommended interval for our environement is 20,000kms. Since your car is about 130,000kms so you should get it done, but get it done only from honda and the valve lash i.e tappet gap I have already mentioned should be according to manual, confirm this from them first. Because roadside mechanics use universal tappet settings i.e 10-12 for every car they get their hands on. That will increase valve train noise

Okay I got another question. I have not yet replaced the fuel pump of my city vario 04 and mileage is 135K.

Today I revved the car in P to 5000RPM. At exactly 4800RPM it started to like act like fuel is being not supplied. It wasnt going uptil 6000RPM. It again and again was missing like going to 5000RPM MISS than back to 4800RPM again race to 5000RPM MISS and back to 4800RPM.

What seems to be the problem any ideas?

And my Transmission is showing signs of maintenance now KAR KAR sound when changing to D.

But when car is HOT the KAR KAR sound seem to be very very minute but when COLD like in morning it can be heard very clearly.

I have changed the CVT oil around 8000KMs early so I dont think its the problem and have checked guage as well today.

So guys what should I be doing? Should I go for transmission overhaul or replace overall or should I leave it jab tak chalay and than go for measures? Engine is in excellent condition no blow nothing accept the fault which I have already qouted above.
Help in these regard would be greatly appreciated. I have searched alot about the costs involved in buying new CVT trans for L12A2 Engine but all are qouting prices for L13A which will be altered to fit in L12A which I am against or should I buy the WHOLE ENGINE AND TRANS of FIT ARIA and install it?

Honda recommends to change the Fuel pump at every 40,000kms. its in the owners manual. u shud get it changed now. u ll see the difference. this might be the issue due to which ur rpm is not going above 5000. but long ago, i THINK, someone told me theres a rev limiter in idsi vario too, that stops the rpm from going above 5000 when the car is parked but NOT when its being driven. so check for that too.

as for cvt, well, sounds are bad!! did u get original Honda cvt fluid in it? if no, thats the issue! if it is the cvt tranny issue, then the best bet would be to get it replaced. dont change the whole drive train. just the transmission.

No actaually it needs new ignition coils so the tuning is delayed
InshAllah will go to the mechanic on saturday to get the coils changed and the pending work done
And the car will be geting some cosmetic work done the rusted panel and a few parts will be changed and the sides will be repainted
but i dont believe the entire sides have to be repainted just the panels with dings on them will post pics tomo. so you guys can determine the condition and give your opinion

When changing the panel make sure that primer or rust proof coating is applied on undersides of the panel. You must have seen the modern car factories videos they dip the entire car carcass to coat it completely, you cannot do that but atleast can apply primer before welding the piece.
Another try to take the materials in your hand like contract with the painter only for labour and buy paints yourself, take him along. From experience I have learned that no matter how much you pay them they always save in material, resulting in quality compromise.
I am telling you because in near future I also will be going for some bodywork and I intend to the same. Already have collected info like, how much a litre paint costs, a litre top coat and primer cost.

in that case. you also need sanding to get a show car finish. find someone who can spray the paint with minimal orange peel and get it done in a paint booth. sanding and compound is absolutely necessary if you want something that looks even better than original
