I also had a similar problem with headlights stopping all of a sudden. Neither low beams nor high beams worked. I went to the electrician and what he did was open the dimmer assembly and we found that there was only a little area of metal plate that had burned due to extra load. He cleaned it and fitted back and it worked and I tell you it has been 1 year and half since than and it is working fine.

Note that I did not use and different bulbs only stock were there, but one of my fender shield was broken that is why the water touched the bulb holder and caused short circuit resulting in heat up of dimmer assembly

Hi guys...aoa..we i have been posting on the thread earlier as well. this june my 2012 city would be completing its first year and my insurance policy would also expire. In the past one year, there has been no hits and bumps by the grace of Almighty except for one dent in the boot (exactly under the left most corner of the number plate). i tried to get the dent removed (dry denting) from the honda workshop but they said that as there is another sheet right under the number plate, the denting will have to be a major task and complete boot will have to be repainted. in order to keep the genuine touch of the car, i decided against it and kept the car as such. now as the insruance is about to be over, i was thinking shall i damage the boot intentionally and somehow get the complete boot rechanged under the insurance ? IF YES, will the new boot (offcourse painted by the Honda guys) be matching in colour with the rest of the body....secondly, will it effect the resale of the car if i want to sell it (provided IF the brand new replaced boot tells somehow that it is not the one which came with the car initially).
PS : the dent is not huge, its kinda ..eerrr..weird...no paint is removed at the dent place even cause the swinging gate actually hit the number plate very very hard which popped up a small baloon kind of structure in the boot right under the number plate

hhhmm...but shouldnt the replacement (brand new boot from Honda...as good as the one with zero meter car) logically look like the rest of the car ??

This reminds me of a guy who jumped in front of my car and his elbow hit at that awkward spot on the edge of the bonnet leaving a dent of about 2in in dia but luckily no paint was damaged (after all, it was human elbow…lols…and yea that guy walked away with a smile on his face….nothing real serious). Being on the edge made it almost impossible to dry dent it w/o damaging the original paint & seals although car was covered under comprehensive insurance but that would require entire bonnet to be repainted making every prospect buyer think it’s a major accident, so I left it at that. That dent was right on the front of the car and was a bit uneasy on the eyes if not outright ugly spot. When I sold the car, no one even asked about that dent and considered it full original since there was not even any touching on the car after 7 yrs.
Yours is on the back side, which is a bit better. One option is to get the entire piece replaced completely if its only that moving trunk cover. However, matching of color with the rest of the car body of a 1 yr old car isn’t easy, if not entirely impossible. I would say keep it in its current state, if it doesn’t bother you that much.

yeah and its only the moving back trunk cover and i agree matching colour might be a bit tricky for them. and IF the colour doesnt match, then i would be tense all the time that OH the colour is so bad, i wish i didnt change the original one...lol...so i guess i better stick to the original one

i have a solution for u one is to do it dry dent by some expert. there is a guy named Ustad mahanga, he will remover the inner side of bonut and then shall do the dry denting but its v lengthy and costly process.
2nd one is to go to market have a 2nd hand bonut of this color. (easily available in LHR) replace is with ur one and claim it through insurance.

I have a City 2011
For some time my car has not been running smooth, feels kind of heavy. Doesnt pick up speed at low rpms. Like if i slow down at a speed breaker i have to shift to first gear to pick speed again, in 2nd it doesnt go that well. The mileage is in the range of 22k kms now. Will getting the throttle body serviced and tappet adjustment solve the problem? Do i need to change the plugs? Or is there any other thing that i should be bothered about?

imaaan i really wanted to detail that red lady, i saw the car a week back at wapda town roundabout, new hondas dont have that kind of paint
