ahh!! these authorized stealers!! i ve had similar experience with them. i would rather not talk about it because i dont want to spend the rest of my day with my mood off!!!! im glad u realize that sometimes, the gud old desi mechanics are not too bad afterall... and if u find a reliable mechanic who has some latest technical know-how, then u have nothing to worry about.

as for ur mileage issue, no i havent heard about any such issues. have u changed the air filter and plugs? got tappet adjustment/valve clearence done? at that much mileage, ur car needs all that... n it should improve the mileage AND performance.

Thanx Ahmed bhai for ur input. I have done all the regular checkups and replacements. But i think they havent done tappet adjustment. I also heard about it from someone yesterday. Do you know any relaible mechanic in Rawalpindi who can do it?

Sir my 75k kms clocked 2010 City has been thoroughly maintained from Honda classic ISB. My car is going strong M.A. I have never faced any issue with them. All you need is to stand on their heads and get your work done.

Thanx for sharing. I will go there next time if I really need to visit 3S. The one I had bad experiences with is opposite race course ground on Peshawar Road, Rawalpindi.

Update : i called Honda guys here in pindi and asked for the expenditure on 20k tuning. got the separate price for each stuff, and total doesnt come out to be more than 9000. i dont know why another member was charged 20 thousand for the same stuff

PS : i personally hate going to Honda guys cause i know they are a rip off, but again the problem is that there is no one reliable i know from whom to get the work done on my car. eg throttle body cleaning and changing of fluids etc etc. if anyone can guide me of a reliable/knowledgeable person in pindi/islamabad, it would help me saving my precious money. thanks

You can go to Nazir Autos in G-8 Islamabad. They are equally as good as 3s workshops.

But on 3s workshops. You can easily create phadda if something's wrong with their workmanship. They do charge more. But you can sue them easily if they do something wrong with your car. That's why I prefer 3s.
Regular maintenance is same on all workshops. like engine oil is for 2000 +/- and oil filter is of Rs 800(same as local workshops). But they charge more on 20,40,60,80k kms. Which I think is worth it coz you have a peace of mind.

thanks for the guidance bro...yeah i agree the piece of mind thingy and also the accountability issue. i have had SEVERE phadda with Honda PIndi in the last one year but by hook or by crook i got the work done by them. there was a weird shrieking sound for exhaust when i used to push the car really hard which got resolved by them under warranty cause there was a ring in the 2nd exhaust stage which wasnt working properly...and on 15k inspection, they themselves changed the oil filter (it normally gets changed at 10, 20, 30 etc) becuase it was leaking and they identified the problem themselves and changed it for free. in these matters, YES i wud say 3S is better.

I also had countless no of phaddas with Honda classic guys. Once they had malfunctioned the whole driver side power window assembly while removing interior cover of door for a sound which was coming from door. and had got it replaced by having a half n hour spicy chit chat with manager. After that. they agreed to change the assembly free of cost. Now they keep special eye on my car whenever it goes for regular maintenance. :).
But so far. I have no issues with my car. Car is being driven my big bro who is frequent traveler from Okara cantt to isb and lahore and a hasrh driver too. I'm completely satisfied with their work.

This is not the way to tell members about your adventures at honda 3S. If you, yourself have no idea whats wrong, you have no right to blame 3S shops as they are ATM machines to honda atlas.

They would only solve your issues if you point them out straight to them and tell them k ye masla ha, theek na hua to new gari aapki baaji k jahez me sath loon ga.
